What are some historical symbols of ideologies? Fascism is an Eagle, Monarchy should be Lion, Libertarianism is Snake. What about other ones like commies and such?

Nothing you said is correct.
Traditionally red is revolution and white is reaction.
A fist is generally a socialist symbol, and the hammer and sickle are obviously communist.
the symbol of fascism is more usually a fasces
whereas the symbol of monarchy is most often a crown.
libertarianism rattle snake though is a good choice though.
>Fascism is an Eagle
Fascism is a fasces, the eagle is a national symbol not an idealogical one
Other than that there are a few colour symbols, green for the environmentalist, black for anarchy, blue is traditionally right wing and red is traditionally left
All of this is obviously only for the western world, cant speak for anywhere else
Id say fist is for of a general symbol for active resistance or solidarity, rather than specifically socialist
>fascism is an eagle
no, eagles are the symbol of emperors, hitler just took it because he named his reing as the "third reich", basically, the third incarnation of the roman empire (the second was the HRE)
>Libertarianism is Snake
because of one fucking example it becomes an universal symbol? sure boy
>hitler just took it because he named his reing as the "third reich", basically, the third incarnation of the roman empire (the second was the HRE)
God damn how did you manage to be even more wrong than OP?
He's wrong but not more wrong than the op.
Third reich = third rome? Thats pretty damn bad
It's an understandable mistake while the op literally made up random bullshit.
Don't forget Gold for Capitalist.
And the Wildcat is used as a Left-Anarchist symbol, usually Anarcho-Syndicalist due to IWW use
Well maybe you have a point
I thought about adding yellow/gold for capitalist, but ive never actually seen it used outside the ancap flag
Black flag and an A is a circle are both anarchist symbols.
In addition to the snake, I think the hedgehog is a libertarian symbol?
Social Democrats use a red rose, or maybe a red carnation.
Islam is not only a religion, but also in a way a political ideology, so I'll include it. Star and moon, of course, but also you'll often find the colors Green, red, and black, typically with either a white stripe or white somewhere along in there.
Also,
>fascism: usually fasces, eagles have been associated with everything pretty much everywhere
>Monarchy: usually either the coat of arms (in England's case this would make sense as a Lion, but not all cases) or a crown
Anarchist symbols include:
>sabo cat
>red and black star
>red and black flags
>red and black anything
>A in O (anarchy is order)
Sometimes you get black with a color other than red for certain strains of anarchism
>purple for anarcha-feminism
>pink for queer anarchism
>orange for mutualism
>green for eco-anarchism
The crescent moon is more Turkish than Islamic. But yes green is heavily related to Islam, and the black flag is most often used by extremist salafis.
The second Reich was the German empire, first reach was HRE.
*Reich
Fuck autocorrect
Shouldn't the Black flag be for general Anarchy, while the Red and Black is more tied to AnCom or AnSyndicalism?
why did communism adopt the pentacle?
was a soviet thing or did it exist before?
srsly interested
fascism is represented with many symbols but the fascese is the main one
Ironically the USA used 5-pointed stars long before Socialist countries who claim they hate it
Fascism is a Fasces, Monarchism is a crown you retard. Hammer and sickles are obviously gommies. A rose is usually the symbol for social democracy. A 5-pointed star is another common communist symbol, though it's used by other groups as well.
Here in Ireland we have some unique symbols, the plough from Ursa Major is a symbol for socialism, a sunburst is a nationalist symbol and there are various unionist symbols, crowns and such.
