Walk away from two orcs, notice an ogre.
/rlg/ - Roguelike General
Which one to pick? I'm a bronze mauler.
I'm thinking of the regeneration one to try out the new regen stacking, but I'm not sure if something like magic resistance is good.
that was beautiful
How similar is Angband to Rogue? Which variants should I try?
is there a way to know the "throw value" of an intem in cata? I just know that rocks and ponty sticks are ok.
Did they remove the invisibility spell in DCSS?
Okay, so I was picking up items, and got full on volume.
Then, given the choice between disposing of a can and picking up another, I chose to dispose. Then, when prompted with what to do with the water, I drank it.
I guess don't do that until it gets patched?
Time to figure out how to submit a bug report for CDDA.
Magic Resistance or Regeneration.
no but the took it out of the Enchanter book
basically if you ever walk forwards towards an enemy (who doesn't have a ranged attack) you fucked up
throw a stone to catch their attention and let them walk to you
Similar to rogue isn't a very useful metric IMO. Angband has a town where you buy and sell stuff and a really big, endlessly regenerating dungeon where you splat things and collect XP. Grinding is possible and very useful. Much of the game is spent collecting specific resistances, intrinsics, and spell effects before delving to depths where you need them to not die. Most monsters are either nearly harmless or exceptionally dangerous.
