I pegged the speedometer in a GMC Safari down Euclid Road in Bay City. Was chasing a Buick rendezvous. Or was it an Aztek..
>Couple years ago on the fifth of July
>Out watching fireworks with friends
>Took my van as I can comfortably seat everyone
>After the fireworks we decided to jump streets so we didn't have to wait in line
>Still end up waiting behind 2 cars on another street
>We're sitting there having a good time
>Some jackass in an Aztek jumps some dudes yard
>We all start laughing
>Some stranger from the yard starts yelling at us saying he hit a kid
>ohitson.jpg
>Back into some dudes yard taking out his blockade
>Full speed ahead after this Aztek
>As I start closing the gap he must have known I was coming and he takes off
>Friend is now on the phone with 911 and they're giving road names as fast as we change roads
>Buddy in the passenger seat chucks a beer can at the Aztek
>Missed the side window and hit the door
>We turn down Euclid and he takes off
>4.3 was just a screaming but we're gaining on him
>Speedometer is past 110
>As we approach the intersection I lay on the brakes
>Brake fade. Brake fade like no tomorrow
>Somehow managed to slow down in time for the turn
>Pursuit is back on down narrow back roads
>Gaining on the Aztek with every turn
>Finally close enough to read the plate
>user hands me the phone and I tell her the plate 2 or 3 times
>She tells me "I can stop driving recklessly now. We have all the information we need. Thank you."
>Returned to the start of the incident to find my mates hat
>Everyone is whooping and a hollering
>Cops everywhere asking all of us questions
>All I can smell are my brakes
Thankfully he plead guilty. I was afraid I was going to have my vacation interrupted.
Come to find out he hit a kid, couple adults, multiple vehicles, and destroyed lawn ornaments.
