1st for I love my money pit

second for honda a best

Rate my shit bike

Dirt bikes are for kids.
Harleys are best.
Chicken strips don't matter.
Chicken strips means you're a terribly slow rider.
KTM a shit.
All non-Japanese manufacturers are shit.
Still no grom.
DR650/SV650 a best.

There we go I think I took care of the important threadly reminders in one post.

Fuck me I forgot Honda a best/shit.

How do the peli cases attach to the frame? Do you have any close up shots? Did you make the brackets/mounts whatever yourself?

Thought about this

>electric vehicles start to replace IC vehicles
>demand for gas goes down
>market is oversaturated with gas
>gas becomes EXTREMLY cheap

How do you think will people react?

>british engineering

its ok user, you're only autistic.

Forty Eight vs Dyna Street Bob, pros and cons?

>looking at nakedbikes for A2 to ride and hoon with TW user
I never thought that it would be so hard to find a bike that I like in this class.

posting nakedbike video

The market will balance itself.

Also the maintenance for petrol vehicles will likely become more expensive.

daily reminder that honda a shit

fuck, I just bought one.

Dented gas tank guy, something in the dude's garage probably fell on it

Will a bike help with nogf ?

Gasoline is too damn robust to be fully replaced everywhere, I don't see lithium batteries making a real impact on demand any time soon.

It might help you get your mind off it, but likely won't get you a qt.

DESIGNATED

you might have conflicting feelies between your gf and baiku

even 200 years from now electric vehicles will be a plaything for the upper 5%.

you really think all those arabs, chinamen and africans will switch to electric just to "save the environment"?

TW user confirmed

> I've made a huge mistake

No, but they are fantastic for abducting hookers. Cops won't chase you so you can take your plates off. Wear a full face helmet and they can never if you. If they get too uppity then just push the off while on a freeway and problem solved. Bonus if you own a Dualsport, can take them into woods where no one can hear their screams.

...

we meet again driving school nemesis

why?

Needadvice.jpg

Im new to riding and want to get into dual sports, will be riding in US and Canada. Im looking at 2 options: Bmw f800gs for 8-10k or a honda cb500x with the stage 3 kit.

I just want to explore and go camping, I have no interest in technical riding.

I feel dangerous on it

now thats a nice yellow banged up hornet

...

Well, some good news about my bike (RIP).

Insurance valued my bike at more than double what I paid for it.

I can buy all kinds of bikes that I couldn't afford before.

>a plaything for the upper 5%.
the only flaw right now is the mileage/battery.

There are tons of electric cars for around $30k and in a few years when the used market gets filled you can get them for even less.

neato as fuck, so what's on the menu?

buy a grom

because it is fast or because it feels unsafe?
tell me about it, I thought about buying one
pls m8

yellow starts to look pretty good on road bikes

Money will never replace the hole in my heart from where my bike died.

But of all the shit I've been through over this bike, including risking my life to go buy it, I feel the money was sort of earned.

What? No you don't need that. Can't you read? You push them off while on the freeway.

Bike passed MOT with no advisories yay

How hard is it to go from a CBR600 to an R1?

vancouver.craigslist.ca/rch/mcy/5543252801.html

Indian engineering today. Made in India from scratch.

>Indian engineering

Are you being ironic with that paint scheme

I might be an sv650s bro soon.

how difficult would it be to find replacement fairing for a buell blast?

greensboro.craigslist.org/mcy/5566595859.html

I like this bike, but it looks kinda poopy without the fairing. The seller said he doesn't have it - I would assume it got damaged.

Also, what does dbt think of this bike?

weekend spin will cure these feels.

The big gap in the middle triggers me.

This bike just gets uglier every time I look at it.

That's a good Webm.

Getting tyres swapped at a shop tomorrow for the first time, anything I should check for not getting jewed/fuckups on bike?

>i-2

it shouldn't cost more than $20
including

>taking rim off bike
>change tire
>balance weight tire
>put rim with new tire back on bike
>correct alignment
>chain tensioning

Honda a best

how about
INLINE THREE
youtu.be/JvQAHA1PNK4

this channel has some gr8 videos.

Bough a pair of pilot road 4 for 260 yurobucks on a riding group deal, swap included. I was just wondering if there is any quick checkup I can do right after to see if they aligned it properly etc.

here's the deal:

Just sold my old bike and it's time to get something different, i had a Street Triple 675 2013.

Motards turns me on a lot... but i don't know wich one... any suggestions ?

I haven't bought it, it just seems like a good price for an R1.

I'm not good at greentext, but basically:
>Previous bike broke down
>End of winter, still cold wet, and rainy
>Over a month of scouring Craigslist for a decent deal on a bike with no luck
>Suddenly, CBR600 F4i for only $1800 CDN
>Holy shit holy shit!
>Send email
>Owner getting dozens and dozens of emails
>Picks mine because it was brief to the point, and didn't try to haggle
>Says that the bike is mine if I can come get it
>Except that he lives in a smaller town an hour to the North on one of the most dangerous and twistiest highways in the country
>Have just enough money for the bike and insurance, and not even fifty dollars more
>It's a CBR600 - better risk it
>Ask a buddy who lives in the same town to drop me off
>Arrive, see bike, exchange money
>Need to buy insurance
>Owner gives me ride into town, buy insurance, go back to bike
>Sun has now set, it is dark and pitch black
>Storm rolls in, lightning, thunder, heavy pouring rain
>Bike is pic related, exposed wiring and zip ties galore
>Ride home on the scariest mother fucking highway ride of my life
>Soaking wet, totally unfamiliar with the bike
>Never drove a 4 cylinder before, never been on anything as aggressive
>Headlight sucks, can't see more than about 2 feet in front of me on the whole trip
>No money for hotel, no place to stay, it was basically trust in the bike and have it take me home or everything is fucked

Somehow I arrived home safe and sound and with a perfectly functioning CBR600.

Photo is from that night.

Halal KTM is not India.

>headlight pointed straight down
I chuckled.

WR 450
DR Z 400
Beta RR 480
SMC R 690

depends on what you want to do with it.

Why are SV650s such meme machines? Everywhere I look people are singing the praises of these things like they're some kind of miracle bike but they don't look much different from other 600s. They just look like generic sportbikes and their specs aren't the greatest.

Is it because they're so affordable? I don't understand...

Enlighten me, brothers.

Guy who I bought it from made the pelican cases " fit", pretty much just drilled 2 holes into the case, threaded 2 holes into the storage frames, and it gets set in place by 2 knobs. I'll take some pictures once I get home.

oh ok, usually you have marks on your swingarms to check if they are aligned properly. Also check the usual things - chain tension and retorque nuts if you aren't sure

I'm inclined to say the 690SMC looks like the best all around bike for hooning and daily riding. It looks like a good middle ground.
I currently own a DRZ400 and a 450EXC. The 450 is a lot of fun but you might be turned off by the maintenance schedule associated with race-bred machines. The DRZ400 probably won't excite you too much coming from a much more powerful bike.

Big engine but only two cylinders, so you get to make a lot of noise and talk the talk while still being on a bike safe for learners and inexperienced riders.

It's pretty maneuverable, to it's credit.

It's easily affordable, like most Suzakis.

It's got an iconic "snake" look that no other bike has. It looks really long and narrow, and it's pretty sleek.

Ok will do that, thanks.

I'm buying a CRF250L and there is NOTHING you can do to stop me!

That's the one I'm getting tomorrow :o

WAIT
WATCH THIS VIDEO FIRST
youtu.be/Cv_1tvAIEJA

The er6n? Its a beginner bike, very twitchy and needs to be reved high, nothing for relaxed cruising.

>CRF250
>not Rally
Way to blow it user.

Also pretty much this I'm getting it because it's the only affordable and none POS that I can buy in this state. Plus their engines are remarkably durable

Its a cheap v2 that looks faster than it is.

What else do you need?

>dress up a slow pigfat dual sport with fairings
Nah

Get a WR250R instead

Also, they re-did the SV650 a few years ago and the new one is total shit compared to the old one, so it just looks better by comparison.

>buying Honda for dual-sport
Buy a Yamaha m8

>buying bike i dislike more than bike i like
buy the bike i like m8!!!!!

ayyyy

im about to go to sleep but ill add the people who wrote me to the map tomorrow morning
if you want on the map pls write me a mail, its all described on the link

What makes Yamaha so much better? It just looks like a more expensive 250 to me.

So I've heard that R6s and R1s don't turn well, compared to CBR600s?

That da true-true?

>tfw everyone in my area on /dbt/ rides shitbikes
sorry i can't be associated with you

>open driving on my insurance
>no friends to swap bikes with

>don't turn well
>da true-true
you can fuck right the fuck back off to reddit, you fuck

Ok question:
>bought older (1998) DR650 a month or so ago now
>Been starting and riding perfect after having put a new battery in
>today come out of work
>bike makes the soleinoid clicking sound
>shit a brick
>have boss help me push start it
>Starts up fine, ride home fine
>get home, going to let bike sit for a few minuets to charge battery
>It idles good but is killing at random times (not totally shocked by this though because I know it's time for a carb clean pretty soon.)

Any ideas?? Now I what I think happened it that I left it on the accessory spot all day because I lock the fork but didn't know about the accessory right below it. I'm going to go try to start it in a while once the bike cools off to see if it's gonna start.

If you have a volt meter, check that the battery is charging while the bike is running.
It should be around 14 volts when running.

clean the carbs
check that it gets fuel
no hoses should be blocked

The 250L likes to bend its frame if a fly lands on it wrong. Dual sports need to be able to take a beating and honda just doesn't cut it for durability.

>tfw nobody in my area rides shitbikes
dangit

i was going to do oil changes and ride but i think i'm just going to drink beer instead

what's /dbt/ up to?

Bout to make tacos.
Then buy a new ECU for my track bike

check the air filter along with the stuff the other anons said

sorry I got Rick and Morty going on the background here

how did you fry the old one?
