If it's american it's awful
Shoah by Claude Lanzmann
Apocalypse: World War 2
Which one is that?

reminds me of Olympic Squats vs Powerlifting Squats
things that make you go hmm
also not enough measuring distance in lengths of a football field
:^)
This multi part documentary about the Romanov dynasty is amazing, I highly recommend it.
Here's ep 1.
Forgot the name, that's why I called it the hitler dindu nuffin movie
It's called "Hitler: the greatest story never told" I think

That shit was depressing
Jovic was a real memester.
Yeah, it's really good, but holy shit was it hard to sit through it.
Greatest story never told is my favorite one.

one of my favorites.
coziest thing ever
British documentaries are as retarded as American ones are nowadays.
90% of documentaries are awful.
They all suffer from either
>awful historical accuracy, such as soldiers in just the flat out wrong equipment.
>absolutely terrible tests such as LETS TEST THE LONGBOW AGAINST PLATE ARMOUR, *USES 40LBS LONGBOW*
>Just plain wrong information
>Huge sweeping assumptions and generalisations
I think the only good documentary series I've ever seen is Tales of the Gun
Marching to Zion
>The Death of Yugoslavia
While it's great they got so many key figures who were still alive and not imprisoned at the time to say their piece, I think that documentary was honestly made way too early when events were still fresh in everyone's mind. As a native I can tell much of the translation was oversimplified, for example. It's not blatantly biased like The Weight of Chains that portrays the Serbs as dindus, but there was still bias to portray Croatia as the good guys to a degree.
I'm glad all the WW1 veterans are dead so they never had to see this
It relied too much on the same shots of roman troops marching.
But it's the only docu to focus on at least a few of the less well known emperors, so I'll take it.
You know of any other good Yugoslavia docs? I was also a little concerned when I realized the proximity of the documentary to the events it covered.
This 4 1/2 hour fantasia on every one of the english monarchs, starting with william is breddy neato
>one of the most reliable chronicles describes how a king of england proposed adopting islam as the national religion
that documentary has so many flaws
REEEEEEEEEEEEEE THOSE PL SQUATS AREN'T EVEN ACCEPTED IN 98% OF THE PL WORLD REEEEEEEEEEEE
I know Dan Carlin is pop history but his podcasts are pretty good. I just finished blueprint for Armageddon and it was really enjoyable.
