Considering all would be stock and the best model at release, which would win a race?
Japanese 90's Sport Cars
Other urls found in this thread:
NSX
Probably the Supra or the GTO
Kek
NOT A HONDA PRELUDE
FD
Holy fuck HAHAHAHA
What kind? A drag race? Dirt rally? Hill climb? 50 laps of Silverstone?
For the sake of having all kinds of environments in one circuit, let's say Nürburgring and let say it is five laps.
1/8 mile from a good roll obviously
these are rice burners we're talking about
Depends on which kind of race, what kind of trim the car is.
>Z is the heaviest of them all and the engine feels kinda anemic for what it is, no way that thing would win anything
>GTO is pigfat too, but at least it's 4WD and has lots of electronic gizmos
>Impreza is light and nimble, has the best weight ratio after RX7
>Lancer is a bit heavier than Impreza (unless it's a RS) but kind of the same
>Supra is pigfat too but dem torkz
>NSX (depending on the trim, standard, Type S, Type R) is a very capable cornering machine but the 5 speed transmission is the only drawback this car has
>RX7 has no torkz, perfect weight ratio, the lightest of them all, also looks the most beautiful
>GTR is second to the heaviest, despite the 6 speed transmission it still feels like 5 with its long gearings, has massive potential but not stock
just my two cents of personal autism
In that case I'm leaning toward the Skyline
FD a best
The r34 came out almost a decade after the others
So that.
>this car is heavier than that car, and this car is lighter than this car
What an in-depth assessment.
HONDA PRELUDE SUCKS ASS
the one that used to be the fastest japanese car around the nurburgring, that was made by the only company to won F1 and capable of beating ferraris, corvettes and porsches that had almost 200 hp more
duh
spoken like a true bench racer
NSX on release had 250 hp, no more, no less, even if it was faster in the circuit, the difference wasn't that great between it and the rest of the ricers.
> slower than rx7 in a 12 hour endurance race
Lol
>rx7
>winning Le Mans
lol
I think he was talking about Bathurst.
Le Mans is a 24 hours race, it is pretty much common sense.
GT-R followed by RX-7. Others are irrelevant.
GTR-R, NSX, Supra, Evo, RX-7, STI, GTO, Fairlady.
prove me wrong.
on a tight track it would be close between the gtr, rx7, and evo
straight line would be totally different results
4 woof dog
GT-R: 1999
Evo VI: 1999
22B STI: 1998
GTO: 1998
Supra: 1993
RX-7: 1991
NSX: 1990
300ZX: 1989
depending on the course it would be between the GTR and the RX7
Downhill Tōge run is only appropriate race for 90s Japanese cars. And in that setting, my money is on the FD.
5 laps of the 'Ring, I'd put $20 on the NSX.
2 rounds around the block
Damn I am pretty impressed with the time of that pigfat GTO
races at tsukuba vary i have seen every bmi battle and the old impreza would whoop lot of ass, followed by the nsx and fd.
Depends who's driving them.
FD or NSX but probably the FD
Spot the clueless American..
Fd rx7 would win both drag races and laptimes
But R34 a shit
Nah mate Z32 is bad ass, sexiest after the NSX and Rx7. Yes it looks way better than the R34 and Supra, fite me faggits
Highway racing was pretty popular too. Ever seen Wangan Midnight kek
Yeah FF sucks
>top speed run
Supra
>quarter mile
STI
>touge
FD or STI
>racetrack
NSX or R34
lol at the 3000GT
NSSEX
who said Le mans
Besides, Mazda has at least won Le mans unlike Honda
r34 = pigfat
rx8 = crappy engine
supra = butterface
nsx = lolv6
the rest are unremarkable.
a turbo supra would be cool tho
AE86 smokes all of them
Foxbody Mustang
>rx8
Dirt road or paved track? Straight highway or city roads?
E36 M3
I raced them all plus a few others on Forza 6 Top Gear track. Did about 8 laps each car. All stock.
'92 NSX-R (1:22.23)
'02 R34 GT-R V-Spec II (1:22.27)
'99 Evo VI GSR (1:22.50)
'93 R32 GT-R V-Spec (1:22.82)
'97 R33 GT-R V-Spec (1:23.33)
'97 RX-7 (1:23.34)
'98 Supra RZ (1:23.42)
'98 Impreza 22B STi (1:23.64)
'97 Mitsubishi GTO (1:24.88)
'00 Silvia Spec-R (1:25.11)
'95 MR2 GT (1:25.50)
'94 Fairlady Z TT (1:25.87)
Going what I've owned and driven it would be very close between the GTR and the Evo, though if its a long GT-type race all the others get a look in as well as contenders
OP you forgot Integra type R. Probably because with just a few simple Spoon™ mods it would totally wreck every car in your picture.
Yeah, maybe, but that would be unfair with the other ones which would be stock restricted.
They shall be lightly tuned as well. I think a better comparison of Japanese sports cars would be comparing tuned cars considering how easy it was to make some of these turbo charged models much faster, and everyone did that back then.
>third fastest lap time
>fastest slalom
>AWD yet understeers less than the Corvette
The VR-4 is underrated desu
skyline (if gtr), nsx, rx-7, fd, 300zx, supra or vr-4, the other stuff.
