Sounds dumb. The united currency for weed would just be USD. Using POT for weed makes you vulnerable to market fluctuations because it's so low volume compared to USD, and more immediately, it's an added layer of inconvenience. Nothing about local/specialized currencies is virtuous beyond the unique features of those currencies.
