A little hsitory: My Grandfather was a son of Israel in exile. He came to the U.S because Israel became a war ground by the hands of the Jordanians, Americans, Russians, Egyptians, English and Syrians. He always accused Arafat of serving the Jordanian government. He was never accepted in the Ashkenazi culture, neither German or Russian. He was never accepted in the Sephardi culture nor Turkish culture. He was however very close to the latinos and his own family of Israelis in exile, and some of the same people of their diaspora in Romania and and balkans. As his family left Russians started a nightmare. They started sending people to israel. English sent scots. Americans sent German americans. He was a man without a home. He hated everything that was happening. How people lie to themselves and mass murder. Thats all i gotto say. A lot of countries started a sacrifice and murder just to recreate israel. He was a holocaust denier. And said they would begin using technology to conquer it.

Sorta. It's immensely exaggerated and largely a result of soviet and jewish propaganda and revisionism.
Some prisoners worked until they died, but the war effort relied upon their labor and there were regulations prohibiting abuse and keeping labor available. Officers who disobeyed the regulations were courtmartialed or reprimanded.
