What causes its fall ?

What causes its fall ?

Declaring war on the world for no reason

The fact it existed at all.

Germany/Prussia is historically a land power and it suddenly wants overseas colonies? With the ports or has? wew lad.

Germans

>for no reason

I know it might sound a bit stupid knowing france is a country surrounded by water but it was also a land power that didn't stop them to have a lot of colonies
it's more a geographical matter than a will one

...

Jews

>1919

Using your logic, genocide of Germans after WWI would be justified.

Summing the causes of ww1 up in a few direct pre-war events doesn't hold up to the complexity of the political and social situation

forgot communists won the german revolution

Reminder that the "stab in the back" legend was one of the reasons hitler came to power since it cost the weimar republic it's reputation and legitimization and could be used for nazi propaganda campaigns

>legend

Can't really call it a legend if it's objectively true.

so? that's before the war started, dipshit

t. Erich Hartmann

Its stupidity

>objectively true
I, from my intersubjective view, refuse to believe in objectivity in historical research

You can't be serious.

then why did Jews die for the Kaiser at disproportionately high rates compared to the general German population?

Wow what a great contribution. Should we discuss the War of the Ring next?

...

Germans are like cells, they keep growing nonstop until they are destroyed, then they do it again.

>Declare war against half of the world
>lose
We might never know OP.

WWI turning from a quick blitz into a war of attrition. Every major oppurtunity to win the war by the central powers was centered around the entente not being able to muster all their industrious might at once.

Every time the central powers would miss an oppurtunity to seal the deal on the continent they'd risk the possiblity of the entente members using their - slow to muster - resources to eventually crush them.

Germany simply didn't have acces to the resources (be they raw goods, food or manpower) to try and outlast the entente.

Had they not fumbled in the opening stages of the war, it'd have been something else entirely; but with every major push they were simply unable to gain an advantage.

>roll out on paris
>fumble and have the french stay in the war

>fail to cut off britain from the rest
>get america in the game

>try one last offensive push
>fresh american reserves show up

Hell; had Russia not had its revolution than Kerensky would've probably stayed in the war and drained more resources.

Germans are great at starting shit
Less so at ending it

Daily reminder:
WW1 wasn't our fault
WW2 was our fault

Everybody who claims otherwise is an idiot.

>Giving Austria carte blanche to drag you into pointless wars
>did nothing wrong

Pick one and only one. Germans were a mistake.

WW1 was definitly Germany's fault, regardless of what memes say
See For WW2 it's more balanced, but Germany still started shit with Poland and attacked the USSR

This is hilarious without context.
Like Germany WTF you are doing?!

Germany wanted a war with Russia.

Backing Austrian aggression in the Balkans was one way of achieving it.

However, Germany also considered that defeating France quickly before Russia could mobilize was necessary for them to beat Russia in order to avoid a two front war.

Incidentally this two front conundrum was their own doing, as France was diplomatically isolated after the Franco-Prussian War, whereas Germany had a treaty going with Russia -- but let it end, thus bringing the two countries that would become its enemies together.

Furthermore, in order to strike at France, Germany would risk invading neutral Belgium and bringing Britain into war. To put a cherry on top, their unrestricted submarine warfare later in the war was a major factor in bringing the US into the conflict.

When people meme about Germany not causing WW1, they might have the tiniest semblance of a point in that they did not fire the first shot. While disingenuously overlooking the fact that Germany is largely responsible for what might have been a local conflict -- or not even that, seeing as the crises of previous years did not turn into war -- into a world war.

Starting a war of choice in hopes of making a preemptive strike against its enemies.

Sound familiar?
