Not sure about that one, I always thought the E9x series was a step back in interior build quality from the E46 / E39.
It is such a shame there are so little manual 335is about, especially in estate form.

The e34 m5 is in the classic category. All mechanical, raw yet refined. Hand assembled. The e39 is in the funky cross over era.
The e39 is 4000lbs, or 10lbs/hp. Not bad, but not great either. I would love to have on regardless.
Fitting four people is the least to expect from a 4door, it's not an upside. A 4door that doesn't fit four is a complete failure.
