It seem like a good guide, but it's kind of bad to have the quirks and such in a picture format, because then you can't just ctrl+f them, like in the wiki.

And why would you bring more than 8 food for a short dungeon, when you just use 4 80% of the time?

Looks like complete shit, you can't seriously think that this looks appealing.

Because 1/3 of the time you'll use 12. At least in theory.

I'll admit that I'm not very experienced, but I've personally never had a lack of food, when I carried 8.

is the mod guy still working on the rest of these? is artorias even possible to do in that sort of pose? I could give it a try if it is, but I know nothing of scripting

I only ever carry 4 food when I don't care much about the outcome of the mission, otherwise I take 8. You usually find food along the way so spending so much money on food seems pointless.

I've made a habit of taking max food, because I usually don't care too much about my funds and just go all out to have that extra bit of healing.
In a game where it's all about stacking the odds in your favor, it's too convenient for me to not have that.

What would you do to improve the weapon/armor upgrade system? What about the hunger system?

Come on user live life on the edge. Maximize those profits.

Usually you dont need it though user. You can get fucked if you have to blacktrack a lot with food. I always bring 12+4 for a medium mission. Sometimes a little more if there is stress eaters. 2 meals+1 camp feast usually is enough. Inventory space is key. Getting used to using an antiquarian saves lives.

Both have blackjack, either have target whistle. I am thinking the 1st and locking in warrens damage before it gets overwritten. Maybe the crit too? 1% crit doesn't seem like much though.

Not him but Artorias seems to fit more into the Lepper role, even his whole corruption from the abyss thing matches in a sense.

it wasn't listed anywhere what classes they'd be and leper's move set really seems to be more artorias than bounty hunter

Honestly the max hp trinket has got to be the worst. 25% of your max hp is Like one extra hit at champion difficulty, and thats on a beefy dude like man at arms

I think Hound's Harry and Hound's Rush are both ranged skills, so 5 acc ranged ain't a bad thing.

On the other hand, warrens have beasts, so that first one could easily be made a warrens specialist.

I'd say low dodge and speed highest hp since when I hear chef I immediately think of some fatass.

Going over it since it'd be blurry af when upscaling it for height reasons. Still not sure how I'm going to do the idle and walking animations, definitely going to have to switch the sword to being on his shoulder for those, any tips or anything would be appreciated since I've never done this.

Since mod support is coming soon what kind of new things would you like to get added to the game? Im thinking of starting to mod this game although i cant do cosmetics that would fit the game's artstyle.

more areas + more classes + more trinkets + more monsters

expanding upgrade system (Rank 10 with more weapon/armor/skill upgrade) and 1 new difficulty mode

new trinket rarity (super rare, 0.1% chance of drop on monsters)

adding ability to randomly learn skills from monsters and boss

adding an actual endless dungeon where you must clear the most room you can before dying

just use leper's animations. the full sword is in the source and there's probably no way of saving artorias' broken arm for when the sprite is actually moving

yeah that's probably a good idea, I'll try to do that then.

I could get behind most of these. I personally wouldn't like having upgrade paths get that high as I like the lower numbers of the game and feel like stuff like PROT would have to be balanced differently or stagnate as a feature.

Most of those seem pretty hard if not impossible to mod in but i'll try to do each of these to best of my abilities when proper modding support exists.

Do you think adding extra stats to weapon/armor/skill upgrades like +10% virtue chance for an armor or adding bleed for an ability like leper's chop once it reaches certain level is too clusterfucky?

I'd prefer having like one addition rank of each skill that splits into two different paths, each with their own additional attributes. For example:

>Divine Comfort A: healing gives a +Prot bonus (like 5 - 10% per stack)
>Divine Comfort B: increases the healing (50 - 100%) but turns it into a Heal Over Time but dissipates when brought to Death's Door

Not if the enemies keep getting more and more difficult each battle, not sure how you would balance that though.

I thought about the upgrade system and came up with something like trinkets, but for armors and weapons. Every hero has 2~4 exclusive pieces of each, extremely rare, you equip them like trinkets over your current weapon/armor, and they add a bit of HP/PROT/resistances/virtue chance/etc to what you currently have. So if you upgrade your shit they will still be useful. Also to balance things, once you give them to a hero, they cant remove it. So if the dude dies you lose it.

So a vestal would have a armor that increases her healing and dodge, another that increases her prot and HP (for 2nd rank vestals) and another that decreases stress received. A weapon that increases stun chance and another that increases damage, etc.

Also this would require a lot of new assets but it's probably easy to add, so I don't know if it's doable.

That sounds cool but at the same time pretty frustrating if you run into a situation where you get a rare weapon/armor and put it on only to find another one that fits better for your character but now you cant remove your existing armor/weapon, although the chance of that could be reduced by adding a small bit of text on the armor/weapon like (healer) or (guardian).

Yeah but the weapon/armor would have info about what it does so I don't think that would happen.

You should have a reminder that you can tweak gameplay options for difficulty in-game, in the OP. It seems that a lot of people miss it, probably because you have to already be in your save (as in, not the main menu) to use the functions.

So artorias' sword is way too big to fit in the sheet, if I want to fit it in I'd have to break it

It was pretty roughed up by the abyss so breaking it is fine anyways, and it fits with the whole lepper thing.

If anything having Artoria's Sword broken and tainted will show how he ended up in the old road and seeking redemption in the Darkest Dungeon.
