If GM had did this fucking DECADES ago imagine how much better previous corvettes and camaros could've been? this could also be the reason they are just now going mid-engine with the Corvette (other than trying not to be bested by Ford's MR car in GTLM) they don't want the Camaro to take over the Corvette as their Halo car.
How? it looks nothing like a GTR. the only thing in common they have is aero bits with the Nismo (which also look nothing alike).
The only way i can see them topping this now is if the Z28 is some kind of DOHC 7 liter Turbo V8 with lots of carbon fiber (they are working on a DOHC V8 and Cadillac is still working on a twin turbo one). i was expecting an LS7 successor but fuck that isn't going to even be enough so why bother... i honestly cannot believe this was the car they were testing at the nurburgring and in all those spy-shots.
