typical angry robot. looks like literally every other car on the road. good job, engineers.

Does the interior still look like shit?

...

...

Offroad wannabe

Basically a Jaguar F-pace with a giant sunroof.

I understand the desire of Land Rover to have a car to compete with the BMW X5, but why sully the Range Rover name? Just call the coupe something else

Why sully the Mercedes name with the GLE, or the BMW name with the X6?
I preferred it too when manufacturers stuck to their own niche but those days are gone.

its a range rover
that all you need to know

The F-Pace looks miles better and it's basically the same car

It looks okay, just sad to see them whore out the Range Rover name but like said, the days of niche carmaking is over.

looks like a ford explorer

...

Other way around. Ford has been trying to knock off the full size Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, and the Velar looks like a smaller Range Rover.

Oh, well, excuse me then... Ford did or does still own Range Rover, correct?

See attached. Range Rover Sport came out before the Ford Explorer, which was a knockoff.

No, Tata owns Land Rover (which makes Range Rovers). Tata is a privately held poo in loo company that owns Jaguar Land Rover.

Well fuck me runnin.
I thought Ford owned them and Justed the Rovers.

It was from 2000-2008. Tata has been good for Land Rover and Jaguar, they are having their best years now. Jaguar was up the most of any brand this year in terms of percentage according to an Automotive News article I read the other day.

I think it looks awesome, too bad it gets expensive real quick.

And there's Ford knocking off both of them with the Explorer and New Lincoln.

This isn't the full size one is it? Looks kinda small if it is

It's basically a brand engineered f-pace, which shares a platform with the jag XE. So for the first time ever a LR with a car chassis. The designers of the f pace have stated it was designed without any concern for off road, but hopefully the LR does not do the same.

Ford copies everything. Literally China: the company
Just google "ford copied" for a laugh
>a fucking hyundai

and the hyundai looks better
jesus christ ford

DISGUSTING

>6 gorillion inch wheels with biscuit-thin tires compensating for a bank higher than most houses.

I'm about to throw up.

Those hidden door handles tho

Looks nice and easy to open with working gloves on, I can tell this was made for outdoor people and not the obnoxious cunts that buy range rovers in droves

Is there an EV version?

velar was a decoy name given to the original range rover prototypes

will break just outside of warranty

Prolly just because it's new, but there's very few paint options available. You want grey or silver?

No, it's to fit between the RR Sport and the RR Evoque (the small city one)

>implying engineers determine the styling of a car

>that 1 car you see parked in the chavvy council estate driveway worth more than the house on a finance deal they can't afford

>a range rover every time

i can't take the brand seriously any more, they are like the burberry of cars

Usually when they first release there is a bit of a limited paint palette. Also Range Rovers are ordered like 60% in black or white, according to my dealer. Then if you look on the lot the rest are grays and more understated dark blues and silvers. Land Rovers tend to not be in a huge range of colors.

However, there is the SVO division of Land Rover where you can get just about anything you want done. They are opening up more SVO paints to the Range Rover Sports and Range Rovers this year too, of course with an upcharge, that can get painted on the line rather than for a huge upcharge at SVO. I imagine the Velars eventually will get a wide paint selection also (however, as I said earlier, most will order them in white or black and other subdued colors).

why did the make the headlights so squinty

I'm a big fan of those wheels though

I like them too but what a pain to clean.

>Overly precious-looking princess prettyness.

>Massive wheels with low profile tires.

>Probably comes with electronic everything (even electronic parking brake and the like).

Sigh.

Don't get me wrong, this can't really be worse than a 2wd convertible Evoque but I just can't take Land Rover seriously at this point.

The Disco is to pretty for it's own good and there's a good chance the next Defender will go down the same path.

Fuck this.

The face meme has to fucking stop

>steering wheel
>vents and the display
>the center console

needs chrome grille

i started working on new range rovers/land rovers a few days ago and I realized how poor the build quality is on those things, like holy shit those cars are fragile

Mercedes "sullied" their name 20 years ago when they produced the fwd A class

I don't know what to make of this exactly.

You can thank the faggots with the "art" degree for that.

LR has reached the final level of their cucked status.

>symmetry doesn't belong in automotive interior design

ok.

Actually you can thank the government for that

It looks really good. It exudes luxury and superiority, like a luxury car is supposed to do.

Do not understand the need for it, other than to boost LR's profits for a few financial quarters.

At least when LR rebadges their shit to resell it still looks decent.

It's a shame that this new Range Rover carries that name.

Disgrace.

poor fags stay mad

I don't get why they would want to complete with their own F Pace. I guess it just fills out the line?

Looks really pretty tho.

When I configure a Range Rover Sport with a similar set of options, it's about $2,600 less. And it's a more capable and spacious truck than the Velar.

They're going to have to adjust their prices or make a lot more stuff standard on the Range Rover Sport, because just by selecting the supercharged six, any non-boring paint color, and a few other necessities and the 825W Meridian system, the price spikes into RRS territory...At which point I'd rather have the bigger vehicle.

That looks so... monochrome. Pretty boring.
I imagine that sleek black console will get scratched to hell in the first year of lease.

Trickle down design?

They're literally using the blur effect on their existing designs to come up with new products.

It's a crossover with ugly wheels.
Nothing about it makes it stand out from every other car.

I don't get Land Rover. They Range Rover is nice, it has great lines and a powerful stance. I can get the rest of their crossover 'sport' lineup from Ford, Toyota, Lexus, or even Hyundai.

> Holland & Holland edition
> Built in gun case
> 1 yr free scotch and champers

Why would anyone get a Range Rover any color except British Racing Green?

Should I order a Range Rover Sport SVR in British Racing Green? It's available as a premium color.

Yes, I think its only been an option since January. Before that you had to get the Holland & Holland

Yeah. Expensive upgrade and bad for resale though. Probably keep it a while however...

They literally found a way to do minimalism poorly
