The engine increases the value a bit. Everything else devalues the car. 240z have really shot up in value lately. If he had that engine in a pristine, unmolested car it would be worth 25-30k.
That the shit he's done to it... I'd give 17-18k with a recent compression test, rust inspection, service history and recent dyno numbers.
Not worth more than 12-15. All collector value ruined and it's too old/expensive to track. Not saying some dumb fuck might buy it for 20, but he'd be really lucky.
