Driving jobs thread

Well lads I tried being a machinist and realized lifting heavy as fuck parts in and out of a machine is not something I want to do for 50yrs+ so I've decided my true passion is driving (not racing just driving,) I can drive for 12 hrs and not break a sweat and I can do it every day of the week if I needed too

So any of you lads got an idea driving job that pays more than $9.50 an hour? And I don't have to use my car and I'm home every night with my family that means no truck driving jobs
I will get a CDL if necessary but would prefer a non CDL job
Go nuts lads I'm really on the last string

Look into doing parts delivery for someone like O'Reilly or (dare I say it) Autozone.

Go pizza or go home.

Find a chinese food place, preferably in a wealthy area, that will pay you under the table. You'll need to use your own car, though.

Deliver tofu at 4 am

Sling dope on the streets of Chicago.

Why would you not get a cdl? You are stuck to highschool tier delivery jobs without one.

Napa or any auto part store really.

They give you a Ford Ranger and all you have to do is drive back and forth from garages, dealerships and auto parts store and you get paid for it.

The only negatives really from what I have heard is sometimes unloading can get a bit annoying and dealing with some dick local managers in these places can be a pain.

Other than that its like 80% just driving around, and they pay well, in my area it starts at $9.50+ and after a few months if your still around they give you a good raise and you get to make some friends in local garages and dealerships which can help you later if you want to move up.

I get paid $15/hr at Lexus and just sweep, mop, drive cars to other dealerships, smog tests and test drive cars

How much of a raise? making 12.61 right now.

Who do you know that works there?

Get a forklift job. Slipsheet for ultra lazy bros. Very little lifting and youll drive all day.

I have personally driven for an auto store and currently do it now part time. Job is easy as fuck, especially if your full time. Sit your ass in the store stocking shelves til you get a delivery. Downside is the pay, its pretty shit where I am. The only guy I met making more than $10 as a full time driver was a brother of a district leader. Most make $8.50-$9.50.

I would but that requires becoming the best downhill specialist in akina

My dad

Just get a CDL fgt

Now, my job is nowhere near the norm, as most CDL jobs have you working at least 10-12 hours, but I work 5.5-6 hours a day and make 180 for it.

I deliver parts to GM dealerships, and somethings like hoods and large panels (think van side panel replacement metal) are a pain in the dick, but I work nights, I make decent money, I don't have to worry about people, and my job is still pretty easy.

There are plenty of companies that want just drivers though. you might work a shit job for a year or two (but even a CDL shit job still pays great) but after that, you really are looking at 70k+ a year with 8-10 hours a day

T H I S

Im cucking all the mexicans at work. Cause im one of the few person who are allowed to drive one. If noone needs me im mostly driving around the company.

>using the word cuck

bf works for cadi as a swap driver and makes decent money, find a dealership that sells cars you like and go apply

I'm about to start driving for a medical transport company soon. Gonna have to get used to being inside Grand Caravans.

drive for UPS. they send you through a week long class and you make $18+ as full time and cap at $34. very hard work but the benefits are fantastic and you have job security from the union.

Are you kidding me guys? Truck driving is where it's at. By the way get a degree or an internship before you do this because your industry is literally completely gone in 20 or so years.

>considering driving as a career in the current year
you're fucked

LOL MEMES

This is the answer. Easiest fucking job. Getting payed more than minimum plus store incentive. Might vary but it'll likely be more than what you're asking for.

this or heavy truck parts if you want to make more money

Mobile mechanic is pretty cool too if you're into fixing stuff

>inb4 towing
god no, we work 24/7 on call and are often away from home longer than truckers /and/ doing physical work

>everything in the room you are in including the room itself was on a truck at one point

driving can be a good career

i work part time in a rental car station. i deliver cars to costumers. cool part is that you can drive all sorts of new cars but the downside is the shitty minimum wage.
