What in the actual FUCK. it's not the 17th century, it's not the 18th or 19th either, it's not even the 20th century anymore, it's the fucking TWENTY FIRST CENTURY, get rid of this antiquated system, literally nobody else is using it anymore.

top kek. All good measurements.

I'll be completely honest.

I have NO fucking idea what any of the imperial (ASE, standard, American, whatever it's called) measure up to. You look at a bolt and see 13/16th or whatever, for me I see in millimeter. If you held a gun to my head and said WHICH SIZE IMPERIAL FITS THIS? I wouldn't be able to answer. I'm American.

>ITS LITERALLY THE CURRENT YEAR
funny how the most powerful country in the world doesn't need fag measurements

only brainlets can't figure out what wrench you need if a 1/2in is too small and a 3/4in is too large

16mm

> buy new Ford pickup
> stickers under hood are in Arabic

I like to use both interchangeably to confuse the fuck out of normies.

>km/h for speed
>HP
>lb ft
>ft for height
>m for distance
>L for volume
>°C for temperature
Oh Canada

I actually think thats the best sytem. Except for occasionally using inches for woodworkig.

>funny how the most powerful country in the world doesn't need fag measurements

But they do.
Maybe not the average cleetus but in the industry they use metric if they produce on a global scale

>the power of American STEM students

>specs for vacuum in bar

>Europeans are so stupid they can't learn 2 systems
>Practically all Americans know both metric and imperial
Why are Europeans so inferior to Americans?

As a Physics major, the metric system is clearly superior. Clearly.

As a builder, the imperial system is clearly superior, clearly.

also known as 5/8ths

Imperial works really well if you got rounded off metric fasteners, by the way.

As a plasterer, a combination of the two is clearly superior. Clearly.

i was a dick once and re-threaded some bolt holes on a BMW in whitworth before it went to the dealership.

Im a dairy farmer and I agree with this guy.

I'm a cowboy and what are measurements?

Well im a locksmith and I think youre both wrong.

>having to list your height in hundreds of cm because you dont have a unit of measurement between the size of an ant and the size of a vacuum cleaner
inches feet and yards are superior and if you even try to claim that you have something called a decimeter then i would ask you this: why dont you ever use it if its so amazing?

pic related: its a 1/4 mile aka the most popular distance used over which to measure a car's power.

Oh yea well im an electrician and I hate locksmiths!!!!!

Wanted dead or alive

This. When I hear someone describe their height in centimeters I'm not sue if I should be impressed or laugh.

SHUT UP SPARKLES, THIS IS BRICK LAYING TERRITORY!!!!

DO YOU WANNA FUCKING DIE CUNT!!!!!

Whatever bitch, ill fucking bury you.

If anyones burying anyone its gonna be us fencers.

>in the industry they use metric if they produce on a global scale
Except that's false. When you send something to China to be manufactured they happily take and use inch standard.
All of the best things in life were developed on the inch standard.
The Ak47 for one.

Why is it yanks always use metric when it comes to bore, while us anglos use imperial?

NATO, mostly

Fun fact, American manufacturers are so stupid they will use metric for bore and imperial for chamber length

The "cuck america" movement of the 80's, which was thankfully stopped by Reagan.

Stay mad babby

US Customary is obviously superior since metricfags keep getting butthurt over it.
