Kek this state is so butthurt.

Is it plausible to turn a cigarette lighter outlet into a general modern 12v outlet?
im still fucking pissed mine got fucked up

Why not just unscrew the nut and remove the socket and replace it with a modern 12v one?

>That guy who bought a CRZ

I thought it had cool styling, would drive even though it's fucking SOHC.

>driving a slow car
>ever

is that the gas tank right behind the seats???

Could you theoretically remove the batteries and drop in a beefier engine? It only weighed like 2700lbs with the batteries.

You'd have to do something about the weight distribution I guess.

This is truly the greatest butthurt of our time. It's so entertaining.

>Supercharge it
>Still under 200hp

you can put a k20 in it

What about the weight from the batteries being removed?

>fucking SOHC
driving a CR-Z isnt gay; as long as the car is cute, it's not gay. The SOHC only makes it better.

mid 2400lbs with k20

But it doesnt throw the weight distribution out of wack?

>driving a fwd honda
>caring about weight distribution

It weighs 2400 lbs with 200hp

haha look at this
and to think i got the new card in just tonight

I wanna get an RSX seat for my Civic.
What would be the value of a used one from a totalled car?
>pic unrelated

That's nothing over here, people cross right in front of my car from the beach and I don't even hit the brakes because I'd rather hit a person than get rear ended.

Somehow the range ban on my mobile carrier seems to be gone for the moment, expect more frequent/consistent updates.
Honestly I'd love a CR-Z, although I'd probably swap it to a more traditional engine if I had the money, not because I have anything against hybrid ownership, in fact I'm all about MPG, but the MPG figures of the CR-Z if I recall weren't really that impressive for a hybrid...

You T-Mobile too?

Yes (Metro P.O.S). You have the same issue?

Yeah but I got a pass since I post a lot. Was annoying dealing with the range ban.

That sucks, I've never seen the range ban on AT&T, only on /pol/ because people like me abused it alot.

I threw around the Idea of the pass. I just can't quite justify it yet...

I mainly did it because captcha on the phone is a cunt. I know I did it right but they still say it's wrong.

Only time it sucks is when my signal drops at work and comes back. Says my pass is in use by another IP so I gotta refresh it. Not too bad though.

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my damn heater hose. Then I'll be able to drive anywhere again.

Some fucker really stole my V6 Emblem today

last month someone stole my wheel centers

what the fuck man

>License plate WHY
That's seriously fucked up, though

why are you always where I am but I never see you? this is danforth correct?

Just ordered a new one

honestly why would someone do this shit?
>can't use it 'less have adhesive
>it's less than $20 brand new stock

This is why I refuse to change my rims (shitty painted-over)
if they can steal an emblem God knows what else.

I hope nobody steals my badge

It's literally 140 to replace IF you can find one

I wish people didnt fuck with other peoples cars

probably cause of your faggot ass license frame.

actually lold at ur plate tho

Congrats (Not joking) you own something that is only just slightly slower and with less gas mileage with the zip of the original CRX but far newer and working.
My BiL owns one and we constantly driving eachothers cars (My CRX's and his CRZ) to see what is the better 'car'.

Like others have said, just really sad they didn't have an all motor option for it like in the old days. HF = EV MPG sipper, DX = Middle, and Si = K20/K24.

And the styling.... it's just a two door 2G Honda Insight.
I'd rather a CrossTour.

There's a mall around here where people strip cars while you shop.

People come out with mirrors missing/wheels etc.

Broke ass fuckers I swear

Mine happened while I walked into the doctors office to pickup papers in a rican neighborhood [3min max].

fuck man

I'm from Texas
everyone has this shit.
should've seen it few months ago
(before someone stole it too)

yeah man

>cali
>Inspire
Wut

Leave him alone, he has autism

Yeah that's a dumbass move to steal one, even if you glue it like I did, it won't have the spacing of the adhesive tape and not stand out as much.
Just a little joke about the CM5 being a crapper Honda Inspire.

>not debadging your car
>having center caps that melt in hard driving

>not overnight parts from Japan

Why not look for it on CL or eBay or jewbook

>tfw too intelligent to look both ways

I actually did overnight the hose lol

The 2G Insight is so much better than the CRZ.

Post keychains

I want to get something cool but this random ass star keychain was all I had.

bought a handgun and took her out shootin' today.

Tonight was some dank ass tips. Still nervous as fuck I'm not gonna make enough to cover my rent and bills in time.

Paying for my doggo's surgery broke me but I would have done it again. Well if I knew it would have ended like that I would have put him down peacefully.

I need to get an OEM key cut. My last Civic had one.

...

An excellent bargain!

Wew those are crusty as fuck.

The sad part is that that was not the only eroded floormat for an exorbitant price

Hondapartsnow has the gray interior set (no Interior Type 1 "Blue" left) for a sensible ish price, but I'm curious as to whether it would have the logos embroidered into them or not, I don't know if that was standard or some special set.

It might but I'm not too sure.

Wanna see some crazy OEM part prices?

>$95 for crusty shit stained carpets
>for 30 year old shitboxes

GOD DAMN
>"I KNO WUT I GAHT"

For the record, the second car key (all metal) is the key to my Civic's doors. The previous elderly owner thought that the ignition was broken and had the dealership replace it, only to realize that the key wasn't stuck at all, and that she just didn't realize that you have to push the key into the column before you can remove them.
Presumably she then decided that she didn't want to pay to have the locks replaced to match the ignition...

I don't need to find them, there's some guy selling a drivers seat and I wanna make sure I'm getting a good, CAD price. If he goes over, I'll see if I can get the steering wheel thrown in with it.

I just bought an EF hatch and know next to nothing about Hondas. What are some first mods or engine swaps that are recommended? It's currently totally stock and a bit rusty, and I'm looking to strip the interior and turn it into a track focused car.

Pics of rocker panels, outer and inner plz

Whats this I hear about Honda dealers adding 20k to the new types r civics It msrps for like 33. Esh not worth it in my opinion.

Honestly this thing looks really rough. Just buy looking into the wheel wheels I see a lot of rust. Please tell me you looked at the frame?

>that rust poking tthrough previously repaired areas

Ill bet anything those panels are 90% bondo and are going to have foot sized rust holes within a year.

Heres how to get em like new. Invest in a cleaner called la's totally awesome. Dilute it to specification. Spray it but only a little. Add some water and agitate. Then hose the carpet down and let dry in the sun.

>want to get side skirts for my EP3
>pretty expensive and almost always Type R branded which I'd like to avoid because Si

The mugen skirts seem to be even more rare and expensive though god damn it.

How much did you pay? I'll be optimistic and assume that the rust is mostly contained to the wheel arches, but that's still pretty rough...
How's the interior?

Hey everyone. I've had my first car, a 2000 Honda CR-V, since I graduated high school in 2011. It's at about 230k (got it at 160k) and has been a daily driver to get to work and band gigs on the weekends.

I'd like to say it's very well maintained. Any major problem has been fixed promptly both by me and the previous owner (who kept meticulous care of it before he died) and I'm relatively prompt with oil changes. However, I live in the Midwest and rust is getting worse and worse in the common areas (worst area pic related).

Now, I've been told with good continued maintenance and safe driving, I can probably expect at least 300k out of this car, but I'm just wondering how feasible that is given my climate and its daily town usage. Engine is apparently clean (even after an overheating scare a few years back), runs very well, handles well for what it is, and I'm not a very rough driver.

tl;dr When do you think I should start looking for another car? And what similar options would you recommend? I'm no Honda purist but I used to valet at the local casino and I always loved any Honda new and old, as well as Toyota. I need something that can haul my band equipment (bass guitar, amp, speaker cabinet, etc.) which I could honestly probably fit in even a Civic, but the extra room is nice. The Element is something I've been eyeballing, too. What do you all think?

Should I stupidcharge my V6 CV7 Accord?

>tfw too intelligent to look both ways
>peopel are too intelligent to follow road laws

Shit I always cut through, but I'll at least back my shit up if someone following the rules was going in. What a dick

It's been a while.

...

>ValueVillage

>expecting proper decorum from the underclass

Yeah, no.

Wanna go cruising tonight man?

they could be at the very least respectable poorfags

>also live in texas
>walking through grocery store parking lot
>see bumper-sticker on car that says "if you're going to ride my ass, at least pull my hair!"

p sexy my dude

Update:
This is what the old hose looked like

Here's the culprit

Looking to keep 30mpg, should I go
Z6,
B18c1
B16
B18b

The z6 should do 30 city minimum while the b18 will do 30 highway.

Source: my D16A is pretty much a Z6.

Should I keep the z1 trans or do an si z1 hybrid

I got an Si trans in mine.

I am now the proud owner of a 2000 Honda Civic Si in Electron Blue Pearl. Unfortunately I don't have any pics yet, as it's in the shop getting everything checked out. I need to make about $2000 of repairs, but my warranty will cover most of that. The air intake, exhaust, hood, gauge cluster, radio, shift knob, and rear wing aren't stock, but I'll be replacing those as soon as possible. The air intake is effectively just a pipe right now, the exhaust is a custom job that's fine, but it's just not stock, the hood is from a different 2000 civic, the gauge cluster is, I think, a 5th generation Si gauge cluster, the radio is just some shitty Walmart radio, the shift knob is just a random, slightly smaller shift knob without the baseball stitching, and the rear wing looks to be from a 2004 civic EX. All in all pretty simple fixes to get it back to stock except for the air intake, and I know some guys.

Actually, wait! I do have an image of the engine!

Congrats man, it sounds like a nice car.

AEM make some of the best intakes. Can be sold for quite a bit too.

It's really fun to drive, and that's with a few busted parts around the engine and it needing an alignment. I can't wait until it gets out of the shop!

I'm undecided whether to keep the intake or find an OEM one.

I have their short ram intake and I love it. Traded my old springs for it.

Heater hose did the trick! Car doesn't overheat anymore. I guess what happened was the coolant was slowly leaking most of the time I've owned the car, and that led to a near empty radiator, in turn resulting in overheats. The steam was the water evaporating from the block into the heater hose and out the tear, exacerbating the distention of the hose itself. Eventually the hole got big enough to spray considerable amounts of it quickly, which is why I seemingly couldn't keep the radiator full.
We gud now tho.
Next step is to tackle the fuel pump which MIGHT be causing me to lose so much power.

Very nice. Fuel pump should be easy but don't rule out injectors. Just one going bad can sap a lot of power.

Any method for testing the injectors?

...

Wat gun

Wtf

Getting a better shell would be a nice start

>tfw cars in this timeline don't sell for msrp

They have a tool that tests them I think. I remember my uncle using it on my old car to find out one stopped working. Might have it for rent at an auto parts store.

Are you gonna get matching bumpers too?

When you reach 300k or when there's a part that needs to be replaced but that's obsolete

Element
2ND gen CRV
HRV
(In manual of course)

That'd be cool. If you have a dd and that CV7 is your fun car then do it

Had the same problem in my car. Was just coolant hoses.

Join the collage see

Good stuff

Well supposedly a guy is going to show up between 6 and 8 to look at the orange CRX.

I have my doubts.

I hope he does decide to come though because this is getting a little ridiculous.

I did have a guy offer to trade me cash + a really mint '86 HF for the orange car though so if this doesnt work out I might have to get over it

Current hrv owner here. Honestly if you want the manual your gunna have to stick with the 2wd That being said I have the awd cvt and its actually nice. Like I didn't even expect it to be as good as it was. Something to think about.
