Suzuki a shit.
Honda twin superior, AND still in production.

It's shit. There is no good reason for it. Just learn to use regular brakes the end.

Just find a girl who hates her dad

my god half fairings look so shit.

I'm drunk and tomorrow I will install a double usb charger under my buddyseat, with an on-off switch directly on the battery. Good times, good times.

Why did you post my maymay? Now I have nothing to do.

I second that notion.

On my way to Florida. Considering renting a Harley for a day or two just for shits.

yikes dat duc

Used ducati (they can be seriously cheap because nobody wants to buy an out of warranty ducati), and put the rest away in investment funds that mature as the maintenance intervals come.

I've got a relative who did that. 899 panigale, about 50k miles on it. Ended up not using half the maintenance money because he put away extra for random failures.

Ok /dbt/

Lets get some opinions goin' here. As the resident asshole oldguy who has owned it all... I'm buying a new bike. My 1198SP got totalled two years ago and I've been getting by with just my KTM Duke, but I need a fairing so I can go the distance comfortably. Being a sail in the wind sucks.

I'm real close to pullin the trigger on an MV F3 800. Rode the Brutale 800, and it manged to assuage my fears of owning an MV; since I and my buddy have had. bad. experiences.

So what I need to know is... do I get it in black over red, or white and black over red?

welcome to the wonder world of power

3/4 fairing, on the other hand, are the most A E S T H E T I C.

Dumb question, but I've never fuck with the electrics.
Why do people attach straight to battery instead of diverting from the headlight, or installing accessories inline following the ignition? (Keyhole, not switch)
I'm not a rocket surgeon, but with what little training signal school gave me, it makes more sense. You can even add resistors to moderate draw.

Everything is better with white.

It'll look trick parked in your garage when your honda's too busy being ridden to spoil the picture.

>Pratically a liter.

REEE. Make it a 750, Ducati. Do it so this thing can go into Supersport racing classes.

White and black is the optimal color.
MV a gud. Gr8 choice user

>japanese sticker for "shit's broken, senpai"

MV sure is gud

MV is a boutique bike

because its easier and its always a dumb move to fuck with existing electronics

Soul and character :^)

do they map their EFIs with a hammer?

I rode one for a bit.

It was okay. Definitely not worth 17k yuros.

Ducati definitely has something going with people who would rather look at the bike and jerk off than to actually learn how to ride.

>please updated your br charts

Where's the 1299R and the F4RR?

Spaghetti fuel maps. Mv can't into actual fueling.
Yes.

at last i understand why sportbikes are popular

Because the engines rev quicker the higher you go, with more response in some spots than others

It's fucking awesome but not 100% safe if you're not expecting it

>look at a 600 on CL when new to bikes
>take it out on a local relatively empty highway

How much are you paying for the f3? im also looking to purchase a new bike and the f3 looks like a potential buy for me.

Here's my girlfriend. Her Vstrom is in the back. Her parents visited and they rented a Harley MegaCouch 9000. We spent the afternoon showing them a bit of the mountains here.

I want to charge phone at a campsite with the key in my own pocket, not the ignition. My satnav is hooked up to the ignition.

>around 200Kg is fat now

so its not an all-aluminium superbike and you have to brake 500 milliseconds earlier to hit your line, big deal.

>suspension is crap

new springs, new oil, some new rear-shock from ebay... all in all easy to do for under 200 bucks.

Most superbikes are around 200kg

Took my HOG out for a RIP today.
Felt good. You know Harley's and shit.

Do NOT reply.

Or at all in your life.

I may have lost count by this point.

Biking is great with girls — I found it really helps to break the ice with physical contact.

Hey dby I had a drz400 I had too get rid of because of financial issues and I wanna buy a new motorcycle, I wanna stay in the dual sport family and get something a little faster, what are your guys suggestions? Thanks for the help!

Yes the S1000ARRARR is a bad bitch but in the plots you can see it was getting it's ass kicked lower in the rev range and only produced a little more peak power but needed much more revs to achieve it. Not hating, just sayin. These plots are a bit old too but I saved them because dat MV has a serious case of the WTF autistim going on kek

yes yes old plots I just saved them because of the MV wtf moment kek

What state are you in?

How much maintenance are you willing to do?

cause schnoobz

If you gotta have a flesh harvester, it is hard to beat a kaw dat 5th gen 10R/10RR is tits and don't get me started on the H2/H2R hnnnggg

California
And I always take good care of my toys and fix anything that needs repairs asap I was looking at the ktm 690 but I've heard a lot of bad stuff about ktms

Will post pics tomorrow night.

>california
I'm sorry.

I didn't ask if you took care of your shit. I asked how much maintenance you are willing to do. KTMs require a lot more attention than a DRZ.

Buy a KTM or another DRZ. You have practically no other options. The 690 does not require the same level of maintenance as a 450 or 500. The 525 RFS motor is well known to be quite reliable, however the 690 is a much better street bike.

I fucking hate you

>tfw no they didn't have gold rearsets in stock so I had to get silver

Not that poster, but isn't maintenance and taking care of your shit the same thing?

Most of the faster dual sports have insane maintenance schedules.

In a way, but if I'm asking HOW MUCH you want to do, it is implying that one option REQUIRES more maintenance than the other.

Eurobike = MORE maintenance

Trust me bro I know, Cali sucks, it's fucking hot as shit right now and riding in 105 degree weather is death

But I get you I just want too get the best bang for my buck and even if it takes a little more maintenance I won't mind

hi friends
got dis lad for bretty cheap
first big boy bike. kind of regret not having newbike reliability but this thing is really really fun

Are they that bad? I remember my drz was pretty much indestructable it was such a fun bike

I have an RFS KTM. It's a great bike but I still wouldn't want one as an only bike because the miles rack up quick on the street. I used it a lot on the street for a while but it just wasn't worth the hassle or money to use it as a street bike so it spends almost all its time on the trails now.

fugg das a clean z650

They're easy enough to work on that newbike reliability is kind of offset. Enjoy riding familia.

>Eurobike = MORE maintenance

No it does not.

>500 milliseconds earlier to hit your line, big deal.
..yes

thats like 28 meters earlier at 100km/h

>my KTM is just as reliable and requires infrequent maintenance, just like the DRZ400 boat anchor
Fuck off.

Bang for your buck is a DRZ in california. In other states, I'd say a plated WR450f. If you buy a KTM, you're committing to more frequent maintenance and stupid shit like changing 3 oil filters at once and laying the bike on its side for an oil change.

For something more modern, consider a WR250R or X, depending on preferences. I think a DRZ is a better bargain though.

its not made to be raced yes.

If you are a somewhat decent rider you will still be able to keep up with the liters on the twisties.

>my KTM is just as reliable and requires infrequent maintenance, just like the DRZ400 boat anchor
>Fuck off.
No but when compared to another bike in the same class like a WR450F, it requires about the same amount of maintenance.

The only KTM that is close to the 5 valve WR450f is an RFS KTM with its 3 oil filters and on-its-side oil changes.

>mfw replaced missing center bolt that holds bashplate in place with a gold one on a shitbike

How do you get girls to get on your bike? Is driving with a passenger on a sportbike difficult? First year rider btw so I´m not 100% confident in my riding, more like 80-85%

I hate inline 4s. Never again.

It is only 2 oil filters unless you count the screens. The WR has oil screens too but you just don't see them when you change the oil. You can even replace one of the paper filters with a reusable mesh filter if it's that big of a deal. Also no, you don't have to turn the bike on its side to change the oil.

Btw, the WR426, which comes from the same era as the RFS bikes, is complete garbage by comparison.
