the only original italian names it's c.205 veltro (greyhound) and g.55 centauro, lince (lynx) is kind of pop too, iirc there was a german tank and then a british helicopter named liek that and right now it's an american reconnaissance vehicle and a proposed spaceplane, z.1007bis alcione (kingfisher) is a namesake of os2u kingfisher, br.20 cicogna (stork) is a namesake of fi 156 storch etc

what's a good default convergence to have your guns set to? I've been using 250 & 300 but that seems to actually be too long for dogfights

i didn't play rise of flight or il-2 (well i think i might play il-2 but when i was a kid so i don't remember, and with a keyboard too) but i played some [pirated btw] x-plane which is considered one of the most realistic simulators (if you believe popular mechanics, it was even used by some amateurs who made their own planes for preliminary testing since it has a powerful plane editor, also i saw on the internet some people who owned their own plane who praised its flight model for accuracy) and imo sim warthunder flight model is decent. but, you see, i have tried the same plane in both of those sims and their flight model definitely somehow differed, but it's a matter of such an awful lot of details so without an extensive research - finding a lot of minuscule details of that specific model of the plane (i mean stuff like the exact geometry of every control surface, of the degree by which it moves, wing sweeps, balancing considering its fuel tanks, for what speed it's prop was designed, how was it regulated etc etc), checking the x-plane's flight model (those that i tried were fan-created btw and likely not very accurate) to follow those details exactly and only then one could test it vs warthunder's... after you managed to set up your joystick to have about the same dead zones and responsibility in the both of those games of course). sim warthunder's flight model feels realistic, that's all what i can say, who knows if the real planes really flew that way but they likely flew about like that

i use stealth on the MGs and only focus getting hits with the 108
if you own a 262, it really helps you get used to the leading of the 108s

as to how you should use it? i use it just like any other fighter, except i dont spam with it at all

funnily but nobody made a post war prop faster than the ww2 ones, that guy, burt rutan, who designed the first plane that circumnavigated the earth ("voyager") and also the first private spaceplane that actually got to space ("spaceshipone", "spaceshiptwo" has a chance to become the first commercial passanger spaceplane but not yet), so he also tried to make a very fast racing prop ("pond racer") but that plane crashed and killed its pilot and was slower than rare bear anyway by a lot too
