sounds about right. Are you in the bay area or LA area? I personally feel that NorCal drivers are SLIGHTLY less overall awful than SoCal, if only because the fwys around there aren't as wide and prolific.

on the plus side, some of the most scenic roads in the country are merely an hour and a half away in the countrysides and mountain paths of California.

I second this. I live in California and in my city we have a fatal accident like once a month, and normal accidents once a week, if not more frequently. Almost everyone drives like shit.

There are plenty of 52 year olds that drive like total shit.
As an user once pointed out here, the majority of being a good driver is being aware. I am almost certain that just about anybody that cares enough about cars to come to Veeky Forums is fucking aware of how dangerous the road really is.

I moved from DC area to LA, and driving here is a lot more fun. A LOT MORE FUN.

Other than traffic, LA driving can be very fun!

LA driving is only really fun after 11pm when most cars are off the road and the freeways truly are free. Make sure to crank up some good synthwave while cruising the 101 or 10 around downtown.

This guy gets it. Sacramento-where I live-has like five major freeways running through it, and every day of the week at least one of the freeways is backed up for miles due to an accident. I’m part of the problem, driving my shitbox around doing 15 over most of the time, but at least I signal.

I can't wait to get out of AZ. The only thing that keeps me here is the trip to flagstaff every few months to admire some nature and windy roads.

I've always wondered why ricers are the scapegoat of CA. Dad lives in the bay area and does 110mph in his E-Class, his fiance does 100 in her GLK and her parents do 120+ in their Corvette and C63 frequently and the only time CHP ever talked to us was to tell us our windows were too tinted and asked us where we got our burgers.

Meanwhile my Veloster and Accord fagbros get pulled over regularly while doing 75 through Marin county.
