Move to California

>Move to California
>All these people who don't signal their turns
>All these people who don't signal lane changes
>Motorcycles driving through traffic
>Almost get hit because a woman went into the furthers of the two lanes lane while turning left onto my lane
>Just saw a SUV slowly drift off to the right and then vanish down a ditch
All within like a hours drive. I fucking hate this place.

Why would you move to that third world shithole on purpose?

just stay the fuck out of my way, faggot

>Moved to Seattle
>it's exactly the same as OP describes
people on the west coast just can't drive worth a shit and it's infuriating. I'm 22 and paid $1200 a year to insure my new car back in PA, moved to WA a couple months ago and insurance goes up to $1500. these retards can't drive

Welcome to California bro

On the other hand, you can get away with driving like 90 on the highway on a regular basis, even during the day, if the rest of traffic is doing the same thing. CHP will hit you up if you're driving a ricer and/or JDM, though, because they need a martyr and a shiny tuner is a better catch than some mom in a minivan redlining it.

Welcome to California, where stop signs are merely a suggestion.

is it true you have to sleep with a highly reflective vest?

sounds like california for sure.

in california you get the best and worst of auto everything

That's a really big bunny

It would be extremely fluffy.

>Motorcycles driving through traffic
???

lane splitting, like a god.

Thought that's what OP was talking about...but it's 100% legal in Commiefornia :^)

we may be commies but we can lane split.

I'm from california and driving in DC, virginia, and maryland is way worse
like everything you said but twice as aggressive and abandoned and burning cars everywhere and people using the shoulders as 80mph passing lanes at all times

sounds about right. Are you in the bay area or LA area? I personally feel that NorCal drivers are SLIGHTLY less overall awful than SoCal, if only because the fwys around there aren't as wide and prolific.

on the plus side, some of the most scenic roads in the country are merely an hour and a half away in the countrysides and mountain paths of California.

Leave my state were still trying to get rid of Mexicans and now this sperg comes in

>willingly moving to C*lifornia
Why

>caring about filtering

The more bikes that filter the better, it eases congestion and keeps bikes out front and away from potentials being rear ended.

It's not "beating" you at traffic or "cutting the line", it's a safety issue.

>Shittons of illegals and potheads literally flooding the streets
>Not expecting to die on the road

The problem is 22 year olds who are convinced they can drive well. There's more to driving than being able to operate your car well (or what you probably think is well). That's why your rates go down with age.

>drive in SoCal
>bumper to bumper traffic
>at 85 mph

>drive in NorCal
>carpool 3pm to 7pm
>still backed up 2pm to 9pm

fuck this place

what the fuck are you driving? I pay 800 a year and I'm 21

It's also practiced in literally the entire first world

Though, bikers need to give up something besides AC and a metal cage for the privilege of not participating in the nearly mandatory hell we created with car culture. How about those loud aftermarket mufflers? Make it a confiscate-and-crush offense to even have one.

Loud pipes don't save lives. You don't even know they're fucking there until they're right next to you. How about they use their fucking horns? Loud horns save lives.

>Visit Las Vegas via plane
>Take Lyft couple of times off the strip
>YEAH BRO I DON'T KNOW WHY CALI DRIVERS SUCK IN LV
>Cuts across 3 lanes without signaling
>BRO I TOTALLY GET ALONG WITH DRIVERS WHEN I'M IN CALI I DON'T GET IT
>Nearly misses exit and cuts through the island to catch it, then a row of cars at 60mph before making a screeching stop in front of them at the light.
>Make it to destination early

He was a nice man, gave him 5/5 most exciting part of the trip

More like what the fuck are YOU driving?

A brand new crossover with self driving assists?

no nigeria, I'm driving a 30 year old truck that's worth less than 1 grand probably

You should have read their thread before moving out there bub you'd have known how shit it is

>Move to California
my condolences user, where did you move form?

I second this. I live in California and in my city we have a fatal accident like once a month, and normal accidents once a week, if not more frequently. Almost everyone drives like shit.

>TFW learned to drive in southern California

I don't even know what I'm doing wrong, I drive just like everyone else down here though, which probably means I'm driving like shit

>state with high rate of immigrant and refugees has the worst drivers

geee i wonder

Things that never happened

how... how did you access his memories... what... no....

4U

>My father, my brother and I drive good and follow the rules of the road
>We always get pulled over by police for "looking suspicious"
>My aunt drives without a license and most of the time drunk
>She has never been pulled over at all

Or maybe it's the fact that there's never any bad weather and all infrastructure is geared towards making driving as easy as humanly possible. Illegal mexibeans don't explain why white people drive like complete scrambled egg as well.

>get pulled over for no reason
>signal, turn on hazard lights, and move to side of the road when safe
>cop literally just wanted to look at my car up close
>i'm not white enough for him
>now he asks to search my vehicle
>mfw

they're trying to fit in the invasion so they dont get killed by communist

fur you

>Move to California
My condolences.

>can't talk on cellphone in car in California
>every bleach haired soccermom in a suburgan or land rover is on their cell phone

Lane splitting motorcycles is a good thing though

>less congestion
>safer than sitting in traffic
>shorter commute

you're just a jealous cager.

There are plenty of 22 year old that drive well.
There are plenty of 52 year olds that drive like total shit.
As an user once pointed out here, the majority of being a good driver is being aware. I am almost certain that just about anybody that cares enough about cars to come to Veeky Forums is fucking aware of how dangerous the road really is.

I moved from DC area to LA, and driving here is a lot more fun. A LOT MORE FUN.

>No fucking FCPS
>Drive as fast as you want (traffic allowing)
>Literally never get pulled over because no traffic cops
>Drive unregistered cars as long as you want

Other than traffic, LA driving can be very fun!

LA driving is only really fun after 11pm when most cars are off the road and the freeways truly are free. Make sure to crank up some good synthwave while cruising the 101 or 10 around downtown.

NYC and metro DMV are honestly the worst places to drive in america

I live in california and I'm kind of used to it here. But I want a change. I hate the stupid driving laws here as well as the people. Is oregon good for cars?

>once a week

cali bro here

accidents are on a constant daily basis homie

May not have scenery but we certainly have the roads here in the east without all the bullshit penis inspections.

This guy gets it. Sacramento-where I live-has like five major freeways running through it, and every day of the week at least one of the freeways is backed up for miles due to an accident. I’m part of the problem, driving my shitbox around doing 15 over most of the time, but at least I signal.

as long as I stay away from Mexican neighborhoods Texas is a pretty nice place

>50% of the cars are Priuses, slammed Accords, 2 liter Mercedes, or electric Fords
>another 25% are drunk uninsured Mexicans in Ford/Chevy/Ram trucks and SUVs or, lowered Civics/3 series
>the other 25% are Chinese/Koreans going 20 miles under the speed limit in BMW crossovers
>millennials snapchatting while driving 70mph through intersections in Corollas
>Armenians driving Mercs leased at 29% APR 140mph on the freeway
>Mexican/Armenian Lyft/Uber drivers stopping in the middle lane in heavy traffic to let passengers out
>Road fatalities literally quadruple when it rains
>65mph speed limits, though everyone tries to go 90mph
>$3.75 per gallon
>Vehicles get worse fuel economy due to heavier emissions control systems in California market vehicles
>2 hours to travel 12 miles in rush hour

>Paid 2.79/gallon from my regular gas station

How bout dem Navy Exchange prices?

Profile: if you shave and/or have hair shorter than 4 inches, you can just pull up and fill up. They have never checked IDs in the year I've been using it. Just use a lane away from the attendants' stations.

Protip*

Also this is exclusively for the San Diego autoport , can't speak for any others

Well I live in Los Angeles and have a long banged undercut.

Pulling stolen valor is some grade A un-American bull, I'll tell you hwat.

>Exchange where you don't need Active duty or Dependent ID to even get close to
The fuck? Out of the doezen or so bases I have lived on/been to you either need Active Duty/Dependent/Retired ID or be escorted by someone who is, and those escorted can't shop at the exchange.

>t. Navy brat

>tfw been in socal for 2 years, 3 more to go till I can move home
>cant wait to get back to az.
>the ONLY good thing about this dump is lane splitting.

What's holding you back from moving? Housing lease?

Mah nigga
Driving after midnight is probably the only time I can drive in SoCal with a smile
>a real human bean cranking in the background
>just one other car in sight where 6 hours ago it was a parking lot
>lights of LA twinkling in the rear view
Feels

I can't wait to get out of AZ. The only thing that keeps me here is the trip to flagstaff every few months to admire some nature and windy roads.

I've always wondered why ricers are the scapegoat of CA. Dad lives in the bay area and does 110mph in his E-Class, his fiance does 100 in her GLK and her parents do 120+ in their Corvette and C63 frequently and the only time CHP ever talked to us was to tell us our windows were too tinted and asked us where we got our burgers.

Meanwhile my Veloster and Accord fagbros get pulled over regularly while doing 75 through Marin county.

>how to tell when someone's a transplant in california
>they get pissed when you lane split

>This

Never got the rage towards lanesplittery. It's just efficient. It's not hard to keep eye out for peeps on bikes. They're usually more cognisant than the typical hybrid/crossover driver.

lived in Dallas, TX 12 years ago
The drivers there were the best I've seen anywhere.

Now I live in NJ where I get regularly honked at for:
>not pulling up close enough to the car in front of me at a light
>doing ONLY 10 over the speed limit in school zones
>doing ONLY 10 over the speed limit in residential zones
>going ONLY 10 over the limit while taking an exit on the highway
>coming to a complete stop at stop signs
>parking in front of my own house
>sitting at a stop light while the red light is STILL red

at least I have never been pulled over here

>you see, luis, when all drive like ivan, ivan don't know who capitalist pigdog or who good comrade

everyone runs reds too, like i always wait for at least 2-3 cars to blow through the red while i sit with my green arrow to turn.

>The drivers there were the best I've seen anywhere.
Clearly you haven't seen much.
