i think the answer you're looking for there is "pcars is garbage". If you want to use a keyboard or a controller there are much better games to play from many eras.

In the Mercedes Arena you missed the apex by two, almost three car lengths. This mistake was enough to lose 2-3 positions in a single corner alone.
At the 46 second mark, both tires are cooked.
By the end of the lap your left front is nearly destroyed.
That was absolutely horrible driving.
