Yeah they would never let you have Father tier control of the place so soon after become director and shut down whatever projects you want to order them to turn everything around, but I think after a few years of kissing ass and rubbing elbows, you might be able to convince them to make small changes here and there to clear out raiders, etc, you would pretty much be playing at politics to convince doctors like Holdren not to kill the warwick family after the experiment needlessly and stuff like that

No but they are artificial so they can just build more synths.

The thing about that though is eventually the super-mutants would run out of people to dip into vats.

Synths would only stop being able to build more synths when there was no more raw materials left to build with. And even then humans have the same problem, and unlike synths humans can't just recycle dead people.
