Driver position is down to factors that predate the car. You're lying to yourself if you honestly believe that it can have an effect on the car in the slightest.
Fact is, the wheel is on the right for us because of the Romans, and then the steam engine. It's on the left for you because of Napoleon (in Europe) and in the US wagon trains needing multiple horses to pull them. The driver sat where he could whip the most horses.
