/shmupg/ - Shoot 'em Up General

what

My monitor is 1024x1280 and the game has a native resolution of 480x640 (I think). I want it to send a signal of that resolution to the screen instead of a signal that is upscaled to 1024x1280.

So postage stamp sized game screen in the middle of a black void?

what monitor btw

>Is banana dare i say it /krautsguy/?
Fuck off banaafaget. You will always be a fagget.

No, full sized game screen with real scanlines, because it is scaled up by the monitor.

Just a random crt I got from my brother

i thinking about get a crt vga monitor for retro gaming on emulators

It's great. I have noticeably reduced input lag and contrast is amazing, pretty much OLED tier. Though my point of reference are very cheap consumer LCDs. I say go for it, CRTs are are super cheap if not free, just be prepared for how much space they need. (I wasn't)

somebody, stop cream
