So now that they confirmed they're shutting it down to avoid being sued into oblivion once Blizzard's official classic servers are up, is there even a point to spending time here leveling and gearing when we're just going to lose it all?

Move on to TBC or another expansion, the vanilla scene is dying now that we know official servers are coming.

Stop future proofing and play the game if you like it, pservers can't really be played with a mindset of keeping your character for 10 years. Every server dies from shutdowns or attrition or whatever. Someone will probably just take the LH database and launch it with a different name though.

No. Staying ahead of the zerg just requires time. It is the hardest class to stay ahead of it solo though.

So I am level 20 with like 60% on the exp bar and I have done most of silverpine and like 1/3rd of barrens. Now the majority of quests are green. What's the plan here? Do I finish those 2 areas or do I move on?
I heard that in vanilla you run out of quests sometimes and have to grind. Is that to be expected at some point or its just people that heavily missmanage their leveling routes?
