Because you're not using Shadow correctly. If done right you can consistently make large pulls and just about one shot then all with your void eruption.

Because many classes/specs are massively fucked up and lack vital tools to make them function until high levels like mastery. It used to not matter because you would kill everything so fast anyway, but now it's a pain in the ass and just ramps up the tedium even more
