Well demons come back. As for human deaths in general, it's usually because once they're gone, the protagonist has no way of changing that and they don't have any other hyperpowered godlike entities in their corner when they go. Nanashi (I have no opinion on DeSu2, having never gotten to it) is a rare exception. Even then, he had to literally replace God to do it which is a pretty drastic measure.

I'm having a hard time remembering many in particular. It's just one of those things where I'm playing one of the games and see a demon with a design that I'm not a fan of. Ideally the design of every demon in SMT V will be touched up in some way (for the sake of consistently, if nothing else).
I guess I'll throw Strix and Ouroboros in the hat. And maybe have someone redraw Nidhoggr and Asherah since the designs are alright but they seem slightly off.

Her stat gains are fairly balanced with a slight lean towards magic, but she inherits Serph's stats at the point of his death.
