Sleep is dope. Check out desert rock for a faster paced version of this. Kyuss, fuel eater, truckfighters, astroqueen Are all good desert rock bands. I use sleep to get warmed up, then switch over for heavy sets
Saw amon amarth in concert recently, good as fuck
Tfw I forget to turn off my trip from previous thread...
Fucking this. Sabaton is the most inspiring band for hitting dem pl8s.
Anything similar to them?
I also find Disturbed's most recent album to be quite surprisingly good even though I don't listen to them.
>Palm Desert Scene
>Literally 3 hours from this mecca of dank music and I'd never heard of it
>Where has this shit been all my life?
Mia vita, mia familia
Been listening to these guys for a while, just recently started listening to them during workouts. Just the right mix of meditative and asskicking.

Anyone got any good nu-metal bands similar to like Rage Against The Machine, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Rammstein, Linkin Park - that kind of shit?
>good nu-metal bands
?????
Try amity affliction and parkway drive.
Theyre good strayan bands
Holy shit m8, this. Thought I was the only one.
Been killing it to their live album---there's so much brutal energy there.
But I don't know what to do/where to go once the live album loses it's power with me from over-listening. Any suggestions?
>I thought I was the only fan of one of the most mainstream bands in extreme metal
PRs for fucking daaaaays, every. single. time.
As far as Behemoth goes, I've been hitting PRs to these lately.

Who /blackeddeath/?
Just a chaotic wall of noise that makes you want to murder everyone in the gym.
Dave Suzuki is a god damn genius and Vital Remains is trash without him.
youtube.com
He wrote the guitars, bass and drums for Icons of Evil and Dechristianize. I was so disappointed to see them on Summer Slaughter in 2011 after his departure and they were just trash.
Based user, Conquer All makes me want to destroy shit.
>One of my personal favorites
>The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal
>Meshuggah - Koloss
> BTBAM - The Silent Circus
Literally the same for me except I prefer Deflorate when working out
Suzuki probably also has god-tier calves too desu
chaotic wall of noise = audible diarrhea
If you're into the desert rock scene, there's a pretty dope documentary on it called Such Hawks Such Hounds.

Good album. Does/did Flo lift?
Anything by Nails, Coalesce, Trap Them or Converge
Good choice. This old fag trained to that when it was new.

Strapping Young Lad, particularly albums City and Alien.

Fun fact: Devin Townsend recorded Alien, he went off his psych meds for 2 weeks, and it fucking shows. Awesome album.
Wish I found this thread earlier. Here's a few of my albums on my phone.
Some good melo-death
I think their latest two albums work great for that setting too
this is all you need bro
Bump
LIVING OR DEAD
ALWAYS AHEAD
FED BY YOUR DREAD
probably the most consistent album
>tfw Thrash Metal and Melodic Death Metal
The best liftin' music.
Reign in Blood has a couple good tracks but I prefer Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits overall.

SWORDS IN THEIR HANDS THEY KILLED EACH AND EVERY MAN WHO DARED TO INVADE THEIR SACRED LANDS
Intro is long as hell so skip to 2 min if you want.
Viking/folk metal is the only genre where I'm ok with screaming
You know, I got into metal via Thrash and I love Slayer, Metallica, Exodus, Testament, etc but I cannot stand Megadeth. I actually love their instrumental work but I hate Dave Mustaine's singing voice. Also he's a cunt IRL.
