It doesnt matter as long as youre consistent. Just count the plates and every time you use that machine write down the # of plates. The weight on machines that actually make it to your muscle varys wildy depending on mechanical design, never take those numbers at face value.

Top small ones start at 20 amd are 10lbs until you get to the larger ones. Those are 15lbs each

If I don't know how much weight I'm lifting I log the number of plates in the stack I just lifted.

The real weight doesn't matter. There's pulleys and shit.
Just note the position so you know where to improve upon in the future.
