FIT headphones

What are some Veeky Forums approved headphones?

I was using Bose FreeStyle until they finally died recently, now I am thinking of trying something new, maybe JayBirds X2. Wondering if wireless would be worth trying out?

bump

I never particularly liked headphones. They get wet when I sweat and they're more prone to falling off.
I just stick to earphones

bumping as well. I want to get some soon.

A fool and his money are soon parted...

I use shure se215's. Amazing sound quality, replaceable cable and not super expensive. I got mine 2 years ago for $109 and I'm still using the original cable it came with.

In your case I really wish it wouldn't.

Klipsch 4 series, Philips around 60 bucks, the Marley earbuds are good too. All sound good are cheap, comfy and fit man sized earholes snugly.

I use a pair of wireless buds, never had a single gripe with em

OP here I shoudl clarify that I also mean EARPHONES not just headphones

trips and my friend confirm these are good

>fit approved anything
>Veeky Forums approved anything

Why do people asks this? Like, why seek approval from a Child Pornography ring forum?

really i just want discussion about the topic and who cares how it is introduced, its concise and straight to the point. There have been some *OK* things to come out of Veeky Forums.

this board has really gone to shit

Radio shack has tons of headphones for you.

jaybird x2 100/10. definitely recommend. comfortable, good battery life, and sweat proof.
140ish.

Search Bluetooth headphones on Amazon. 40$. Work amazing. I like them better than my jaybirds because they don't have buttons on the cable.

...

was about to buy this recently, some reviews turned me off. How is it for lifting? I wouldnt waer it during cardio, so dont need big hooks or similar for stability

sennheiser in ear momentum ok for lifting?

BlueAnt Pumps, probably the most comfortable bluetooth headphones I've ever worn. I recently bought JayBird X2s from bestbuy for only 120 (price match) and returned them the very next day. The sound quality on Jaybirds is amazing but they are difficult to get a good fit. Allegedly people seem to get a good fit with them after using them for a few weeks, so maybe you just have to break them in. Never been a fan of in-ear headphones that dont have anything to wrap around your ear to stabilize it.

BlueAnts don't sound a bit above average but they have pretty much 0 noise cancelling properties as you can hear everything outside of them perfectly. This is probably so you can hear cars when running or when bitches wanna talk to you inbetween sets. They also look like hearing aids but they are only about $30 bucks cuz its an older model. Also waterproof if you accidentally wash them or sweat like a beast, i took an epsom salt bath wearing them yesterday. If you buy Jaybirds try to find Bluebuds, they are the exact same for the most part but bluebuds would be around 60-70 dollars.

I would advise buying headphones from companies that ONLY specialize in headphones or sound equipment such as Bose, Denon, or Sennheiser. Just as most gaming headphones are bad compared to a cheap pair of headphones from a reputable headphone company.

Jaybirds aren't sweat proof, just sweat resistance. They do have a lifetime warranty against sweat though which is nice.

i didn't get a good fit with the jaybirds either until i did the over the ear option -- since then perfect.

That's what I saw most reviews of them said too but I felt it put the controls, for how small they were, in an awkward spot. Just as I probably wouldn't recommend the BlueAnts for people with small ears (mostly women) as they aren't adjustable for the most part, I think the Jaybirds only really fit with certain ear types.

The stabilizers seem awkward to me, maybe someone with flat ears would like the touch. Also, the way Jaybirds are made the weight seems to be towards the outside rather than in your ear, fell out quicker than my typical cheapo in-ear headphones when running without the stabilizers. Using the stabilizers made them stay in but felt uncomfortable. Sound quality was pretty spot on though, I hope they make a model that has something to wrap around the ear similar to Beats. They are pretty expensive too for something that is just getting tossed around in the gym or on the streets.

fair points. they still beat the shitty motorola s10's in both durability and sound quality though.

but yeah, definitely agree with the controls.. i just basically ignore them. on runs it sucks, but a non issue while lifting. main thing i like is the sound quality and the lack of ambient sound.

For just lifting I can see them being pretty good.

I meant to touch more on in regards to companies claiming shit is sweatproof and waterproof. Every product that claims to be water resistant or water proof will have an IP rating:

IPXY

With X being Dust-Resistance rating and Y being Water-Resistance rating. The Y is also assuming it is at most tap water not sweat with all sorts of salt in it. Anything IPX6+ is water-proof for a certain amount of time. Jaybirds have a rating of IPX4, meaning they are resistant against small splashes of water and POSSIBLY small to moderate amounts of sweat, though without a number for the X it should not be exposed to minerals. The most vulnerable portion would be the ear piece that they assume has a tight seal in your ear. If it's not a tight seal and sweat pools in your ear canal more than likely after an extended period of time exposed they will be damaged. This is actually the case with a lot of 'water-proof' headphones. The units themselves are waterproof but the piece that goes inside your ear canal is not. Some do have a thin membrane to protect against this in case water or sweat gets in your ear canal but muffles the sound slightly.

Using jaybirds x2 right now only problem is sometimes the power on is weird and won't turn on even if you have a full charge... All you have to do is plug it in for 2 seconds and they work again. Other than that they pretty good famalam. Might want to wait until the new ones come out so you save some money tho...

Here is what I've tried OP for cardio and lifting

Jabra Pulse - Pretty good fit, has inbuilt heart rate monitor if you're into it, shit themselves after two months

Bose SoundSport - Good quality audio, thingy that controls volumes and tracks shit itself after one month

Beats Powerbeats - Lots of bass, shit themself after a week

See a pattern?

Got Gaybird X2D2 a month ago.
You get silicone and foam plugs in three different sizes. The foam plugs will sit comfortably and block out a lot of noise if you use the correct size and compress them properly before insertion.
Sound is good for the price tag if you consider the fact it is wireless and sweat proof.
Cables can comfortably be placed out of the way for any lifting exercise.

Bump for curiousity
