Started cut in Dec. Cut went well until Apr. Kept diet decent for the last month but slacked at the gym so I kept the weight off. 5'10 230-206. I Diet is at 1800cal. I really want to do an aggressive cut over the next 3 months to get down to 180 before school starts. Any tips?
>inb4 kill yourself you fat fuck

1800 cals with 35/35/30 P/C/F macros for the first 10 weeks. 1600 cals with 50/25/25 in the last two because of a weekend-long alcohol binge. Don't trip up like I did brehs, shit fucking sucks.

here, mad respect. Try the 1600 and 50/25/25 I did since you're used to 1800 already. You're already making solid progress, though, so you don't NEED to cut your calories any lower unless you really just want to see how you'd fare. God speed, user.

I had a binge a few days ago and hate the water weight that accumulated afterwards, it wasn't worth it at all, and made me feel so shitty.

That cut seems drastic, in cutting on 3k cals 500 cal deficiet

Amazing cut.

what are some staple foods you ate during those 12 weeks?

Much appreciation, man. Eggs, Raisin Bran, whey powder with water, smoked salmon, Healthy Choice Steamers, Clif Bars, chicken thighs (I fucking hate white meat), skim milk.

If I was in a rush in the morning, I'd nab a Nutrition Energy Mix and Naked Protein Smoothie from QT. Shit like tuna and fresh vegetables are great for quick snacks too.

Hello /cut/bros, soon-to-be former fatty here.

Any cardio friends here? After just over a month of running and dieting I just completed my first non-stop mile at 10:12. My long term goal is to get up to doing 3 miles in under 25 minutes and to do that 5 days a week.

Right now should I try to get my 1 mile time down to about 8 minutes or should I just work on getting up to doing 2 miles? The main objective is fat loss.

...

235 - 205

Weighed in at 201 today

I want to get down to 190

Progress Picture shows 20lbs lost over the first 3 months. Started at 280lbs after camping trip.

Both of my parents have been fat my whole life, 300lbs+. I've always been afraid to ask what their weight is exactly. I have been struggling with my obesity since I was 13; I'm 24 now. I take 100% responsibility for my obesity and I am an adult now.

> be me 13 years old, homeschooled eagle scout
> doing bjj/mma stuff on tuesday and thursday nights
> college aged bigger dude took me down pretty hard
> go to doctor
> says minor back injury
> prescribes me pain meds and tells me to loose weight
> quit bjj and pick up everquest raid leader full time
> be 24 now
> christmas just finished, getting ready for 2016
> girl problems, break it off with "minimum wage" girlfriend
> "the one" I actually like isn't attracted to me, surprise surprise
> be 280lbs
> be sad, quit job because don't give a fuck
> two days later go out in the woods with friends for a week
> first time in life have a number of paradigm shifting psychedelic sessions the whole time we were out there, we did it all
> hate myself a little less, and realise I'll always have regrets
> realise I can never change what I did/who I was in the past, but I can be at my best right now
> can use regrets as fuel to work on myself
> attachment is selfish
> you'll never kiss the girl
> still sad, but realise being fat gross's me out
> fat people gross me out
> stop stuffing my face like the glutton I am, and set new protocols in place

Basically, I'm focusing on eliminating my bad habits. No more chinese buffet, no more sweet tea or anything thats not water or black plain coffee. 1900 calories a day max. Only eat between the hours of 11am and 5pm. I try to eat vegetables every day and severely limit carbs.

As of this morning, post shit, I weight 249.3lbs, so thats 30.7lbs total so far. I'll be getting a friend to take more pics when I hit 240. Goal weight 180lbs. I'm 6 foot.

Don't ever be fat.

>running
But seriously man keep up the good work, my guess would be to work on mile speed before increasing distance, maybe bump up to a 1.5 mile run below 11 minutes before increasing distance.

Keep up the good work buddy. I'm in a similar situation as you.

>25
>270 lbs
>unhealthy relationship with food
>sedentary lifestyle
>disgusted with myself but too lazy and "depressed" to do anything about it

Just started my new lifestyle at the beginning of April. Turns out just getting started was the hardest part.

Staying under 1500 calories every day except my 1 cheat day per week when I eat up to 2200 calories. I've got about 10 different meals and as long as I switch those up the diet isn't even that bad.

I lost almost 10 lbs the first month and I'm feeling great.

We're gonna make it.

Grats man. I'm an ex fatty too, it's the most rewarding thing ever, good luck!

Man that's awesome! And your right, the first step is always the hardest. I have had to recommit more times than I can count. Day 2 isn't that hard, it's weird. Progress is slow because I fuck up every now and then. I'll probably always have to count calories and thats no big deal to me because I know I have a fucked up relationship with food.

I lurk and consume Veeky Forums and v/fatpeoplehate whenever I wanna go eat chinese food or whatever.

Hell yeah we are gonna make it!
I hope you have a great weekend.

I'm tempted to go back to mma stuff to nuke the fatty out of my brain, I just don't wanna get knocked unconscious again, its no fun.

Thanks man! I can't wait. I feel like I am just getting started.

Hey Veeky Forums. Former obese guy here. I figured I'd greentext it. I know I still look like shit but I can at least say I'm not overweight anymore

Currently
>5'9"
>168 lb
>maybe 25 % body fat? That's a guess I've never actually checked.

I've been overweight for most of my life. I'm 18 now, and I've been the fat kid since probably sixth grade. Even before that I was chubby but by the time I was 12 I was definitely fat. I never realized how stupid I was about everything. Believed all the stupid shit with muh metabolism and muh genetics. By the start of 2016 I was 215 pounds, and had a bmi of 31. That was when I first actually discovered Veeky Forums
>started dieting at 1600 calories a day
>diet was shit but whatever.
>lifted for a little while, but it was a bad routine for a beginner and every workout I had to remind myself of the exercises.
>eventually stopped, but kept dieting
> by April I was 170, but looked like shit. Finally actually read the sticky
> started actually lifting, counting macros, eating enough protein.
> been lifting for a month now. I can't do anything too heavy cuz the four months of no exercise dropped my muscle mass a lot, but I'm getting better.

I'm not there yet. I'm not even close. But I know if I keep trying I'm gonna make it.
We're all gonna make it

Dude, I am impressed as shit with you.

Your a decade ahead of me. Hell yeah! Keep it up!

Thanks a lot man. This is pretty much my first time posting anything personal so it's nice to get a compliment rather than something....else....

Seems like dropping pounds getting rough lately but I feel way thinner...

What a good deficit for my mental illness?
600 cal?

What is your mental illness?

Keep lifting, you're young enough where you can easily turn this around within a year or two. Get a real routine like 5/3/1 BBB so you are at least making trackable progress.

I recommend cutting through the summer, then finally doing a calculated bulk through the fall/winter. Cut again in the spring to reap summer gains. Rinse, repeat.

13 more pounds till goal weight.
I didnt work out at all (complicated situation), so I look like shell-less Zoidberg, but at least Im passably human in clothing.

down to 160 from 335, currently eating low carb chocolate peanutbutter icecream i just made

I can't track my cutting progress because I didn't take a decent dump for 5 days. I consume ~50g of fiber and drink plenty of liquids. Don't want to use laxative yet

Sorry just finished my workout. I'm planning on cutting for at least the next 4 months. Right now I'm on a simple routine since I only have an hour to lift each night and nothing outside of a barbell and two dumbells. I want to cut to about 15 percent body fat, or until I hit 145 lbs. After that I'll do a 3k cal bulk. I'm going to uni in the fall so I'll be able to do a longer and more intensive routine there but with my current schedule I can't do any of the extensive routines.

I went to work up north for a month and a bit. Went from 280lbs to 260lbs. Am I going to die?

Is doing cardio on a cut enough to keep your fatty muscle gains?

I'm hesitant to start 1st time lifting on a cut weeks before finals start.

Cut's going decent after a bump in December because holidays and still pretty fucking fat. Dropped from 206-210lbs last May to around 192lbs or so yesterday. Still trying to get down to 185 by the end of May but gottdamn, it's hard.

It used to be that people would train for marathons by running lots of miles. Weirdly, after many decades of sports training and medicine, coachs are now advising to train with far less miles but at a much faster pace. Apparently the faster pace builds endurance and strength better than volume for running.

Try an enema, serious. If the constipation persists, get checked for colon cancer.

Work on your mile time but to lose weight make sure that your doing an activity that increases your heart rate to above 50% for more than 20 minutes a day

Proud of you user, great progress keep it up. We all believe in you.

Started out at 108kg at 1,83/5'11 at the beginning of this year, going pretty decent. Switched from Keto back to carbs in the last weeks. Only 11 kg left, but thats gotta get harder and harder. Squat and diddylift numbers have dropped ridiculous, its piss its sick.

Savage AF. Next level.
Appreciate it. Can't wait to touch base with y'all in a month or so with more progress!

I feel like it has to do with improving recovery heart rate, I could be way off tho

Cool story

Try DNP

>been promising myself a cheat meal for 3 weeks now
>still didn't do it

I just want to eat a huge ass meal

hold on as long as you can

What kind of scale do you use to weight yourself? It seems all electronic scales are entirely inaccurate. Every popular scale online seems to have reviews stating so. Even Scooby made a guide for this problem:
>scoobysworkshop.com/how-to-weigh-yourself-accurately/#inaccuracyofdigitalscales
It's ridiculous that mechanical scales are more accurate then electronic in this day and age.

>trying to cut while still living with parents
>they eat like pigs, cant convince them to get us healthier food
>go to college, move out, get 2 roommates
>they're fatties who eat as much as my parents did
>can't go under 15% bf
I want off this ride, Veeky Forums

It's my final week, I will eat a lot. I know it.

Down to 47kg from 50kg over 3 weeks, lifts haven't suffered much (they were pathetic to begin with t b h f a m) and I've got a tiny little bit of oblique definition for the first time

Looking good, bro. You gonna make it soon!

Damn bro you need to step your game up.

Count your damn calories and run a 0.5-0.75k deficit.

You would have been 35+ lbs lighter already if you did that from the start.

why do you feel obligated to eat the exact same things as everyone else?

too self-conscious to just do wtf you want?

Are you a qt little manlet or femsex?

Smol grill

I think I'm addicted to food. I can eat sanely for a week, then go full retard for a huge 3k meal on one sitting, and in the end feel really bad about myself. I already lost 30 kilos from 2012 to 2013, gained 10 back in three years, constantly trying to lose weight. I only need to lose 20 kilos, I already did it once, I'm now build fat, I will at least be ottermode if I lose these 20 fucking kilos. I fear that in three years it will be 30. I can't find the mindset of 3 years ago when I was losing 1k a week.

Keep it up user, I can see the changes in your body already.

Hit that 180 senpai

Just lift and call it a dirty bulk

Yeah well it's what I've been doing more or less for three years, but with cutting periods and pauses, hence the buildfat

>gf made cookies
>just ate one

how bad did I fuck up? It's all about moderation... r- right guys?

I guess the good news is that I feel really fucking full from just that one cookie.

I depends on what kind of cookie it is and how large. A regular sized chocolate chip about 2 1/2 inches would only be something like 100 calories.

Your first mistake was getting a gf.
They're gainz goblins.
Should have found a qt 3.14 trap

It was a big fucking cookie. Probably twice as big as a normal cookie. It was normal chocolate chip but with a caramel thing in the middle. Apparently the caramel things are only about 60 calories each.

Still... all that sugar. It's the first sweet food I've had in 3 weeks.

Luckily I just convinced her to take all but four cookies to work with her.

You're at college. Make your own food instead of excuses.

is eating 900 cals a day bad ?

>tfw lost 50 pounds
>tfw 13 more to go
w-we're all gonna make it

I'm glad you got out of your cycle, mang. Just give it time and patience. And definitely get back into martial arts - taking on physical hobbies is the best way to fortify the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. You've gotta give yourself something to stay in tip-top shape for, you know?

You're right outside the finish line, budday. Square up and break through the chains.

Fan-fucking-tastic, mang. I'm fixxing to be right there with you soon enough.

The human body is fucking wierd man. I was plateaued at 260 for days, then took a day eating at maintenance and woke up the next morning at 259. Just keep your cheat meal at or below maintenance - and don't worry about the water/food-weight for a couple days after.

Started at 430, just broke through 260 - I'm now the lightest I've been since the 7th grade. It blows my mind.

The loose skin is... Well, it is what it is. It's like I'm watching myself melt in slow motion. And yes, I'm a little bummed that I didn't take any progress pics until I was already down 100 pounds - I guess I didn't think I was going to make it.

in july i will have made it. maybe august at the very latest.
then ill bulk up for months ayy lmao

I recently realized I gained some of the weight I had lost back. I stopped counting calories but have started again. Sometimes I can't be arsed to cook so I don't eat at all. It's alright.

When I lived with my Ex, she would eat nothing but cake, cookies, and pizza (and then vomit it up afterwards). She would constantly try to get me to eat it with her so she wouldn't feel bad about eating all of it. I would get constantly harassed when I was cooking my chicken and eggs and potatoes.
But, I never touched it, more than 1 bite at a time.

You can make it work. Wake up early, bake the chicken super early/late. Cook the Potatoes in the microwave instead, eat in another room pretending you have work to do. Buy Tupperwares, cook in bulk, eat from it, just smile and nod and joke around, but you don't have to eat it.

You can do it, bro. Cutting sucks, but it's so worth it. You can have abs by July if you start today :).

Keep going, you will be a beast.

5 months in, 6'3" 240 to 210, goal is 190.

good job man

i JUST fucked my shit up. i went to my parents house for a barbecue 3,5h ago but ended up eating lots of ice cream and candy too. as soon as i got home i went into the bathroom and vomited until i had nothing more to throw up, when i looked into the toilet i saw pieces of meat and corn which was the first thing i ate this evening. does that mean i managed to undo my binge or was it too late to get rid of the sugar?

Good shit, bro. Don't stop.

Jesus calm the fuck down. Just work out more or eat less the next day instead of going full retard next time.

you will never make it, how can you let yourself be that fat in first place hahahaah just an hero already.

Won't have taken any of the calories out of your body, just indicates you have a fucked up relationship with food that needs resolving before you're going to be able to maintain a healthy diet.

Dude chill out
Dont be a grill and vomit after binging, that sets u up for more binging and vomiting cycles.
Just control yourself better next time

everytime i try to cut i get really depressed. what do

this is what Veeky Forums does to you.

Got norovirus and was vomited/shitting for a day straight and really haven't eaten much last couple. One way to cut, r-right?

i forgot to mention, i'm doing vlcd with one low carb cheat meal every week. it's the sugar i'm worried about, not the meat.

What was your start weight? Unless you were a half ton monster with no other options, VLCDs are a bad idea.

Been perfect for about a month eating clean with a 500 cal deficit. The liquor is calling me, though. I really want to open a bottle of wine tonight. I know that I'm going to drink the whole damn thing because tomorrow is a rest day and I'll likely not drink for another month.

Wish I had pictures, but I've gone from 270 on Feb 1st to 221 yesterday. I want to be 180 by September but who knows. I'm 6'0 btw

80kg 177cm.
69kg now.
i'm supposed to be 10% at 65kg

i started in late march, my lifts haven't gone down since i'm dyel

Friend if you feel like you're needing to eat a VLCD and purge food at your weight (do you mean the 800 and lower per day area?) you should be looking for therapy.

Thought I had plateaued. Changed up my calorie intake from 2500 max to 2000 max (fat guy here). Weight myself today, shattered the plateau. I'm now down 16.4 pounds from my starting weight and it feels good man.

>do you mean the 800 and lower per day area?
yes. i'm doing it because it's quick (i literally went from being a fatass to just having a too high bodyfat% in a month). it's also very simple to maintain once you enter ketosis.

You're speaking to an EDfag you don't need to tell me starving is easy lmao

Just look after yourself boi

Starting 315lb
Current 292lb

I have been dieting for about 3 weeks now. Trying to have three good meals and snack on fruit. We cut out all processed foods and just make our own meals. Pic related. It was my lunch. 1/2 pound of chicken and a cucumber. Tasty as fuck, about 325 calories and 20g of protein. I have actually been having trouble eating 1,200 calories a day these meals get me full (except for breakfast because I have been on the run lately and just been having an orange and some watermelon)

Do you think 1,200 calories a day is okay if I feel good?

Best cutting feels?

>dat huge drop just after a plateau
>get drunk much quicker off hardly any alcohol
>siqq vascularity

Hey former fatties, I'm curious about something.

Where did you start seeing the most results in your first months of weight loss? I'm at just over a month and I've lost about 10 lbs and the waistband on my clothes are noticeably looser and I can tell that my gut isn't hanging quite as low.

Not really seeing noticeable results anywhere else yet though.

Lift weights

5 days without shitting is DEFINITELY time to take a laxative. Evaluate your diet as well, that shit (or lack of ayyy) is not normal or healthy.

>my clothes are noticeably looser and I can tell that my gut isn't hanging quite as low.
>Not really seeing noticeable results anywhere else yet though.

DOYOU EVEN
FUCKING
JUST

THIS IS WHAT WEIGHT LOSS IS AT IT*S FINEST YOU LARDBALL

Take progress photos if you aren't, or you'll never really "see" major progress. Good job, keep it up!

i just ate a doughnut

5'10 242lbs
Bench 315, squat 445, diddly 505, ohp 205

Decided these 1RM were all new PRs and satisfactory so I started hard cut

6 weeks in down to 220

I like seeing the definition start andy face slimming out, but

>tfw losing strength during cut

It's got my head fucked up I wanna be strong and aesthetic :(

will I ever make it brehs?

>1500 calories erry day
>30 mins exercise erry day
>no caffeine to fix my shitty sleep schedule
>no alcohol
>no fun allowed
>only losing 1/2lb a week for 6 months now
>gonna still be fat through summer

Don't even care cos I've found something that works (I plateau if I'm less strict). Fuck you biology, I'm gonna make it.

How small are you if you're only losing 1/2 lb per week on a 1500 cal per day cut?

Pick up a hobby to stop you from thinking about food

Congrats man, I know that feel all too well.
I'm currently 25 and a NYEer, 2016 is the year I'm making it after being fat all my life.
182cm for 85.8 kg atm.

Around every 10 lbs it feels like I notice some body part that's now a lot leaner

I've been 'mirin my new thin arms for the past 10 days or so
