first time at gym, can't do anything, can only bench about 60. Incredinly self conscious about manboobs, especially when youre supposed to "puff your chest out" does it get better, Veeky Forums?

dont give up, it gets better bro.

Yeah it does. Five pounds a week adds up fast, and you'll be making hueg improvements from newbie gains.

Just remember people are looking at you and laughing about you in their head. They think you're a loser.

>being self conscious
is this a meme? why do you care what a bunch of strangers think of you?

it absolutely gets better if you stick with it. and don't kid yourself, your gross tits are obvious anyway, may as well be bouncing them around in a gym

this isn't r9gay

Manboobs are quite humiliating when you are 6'4" and 175 lbs user.

stop giving a shit about others, sounds weird but really helps

This is why homegym is master race

listen to this guy most people don't really care about you or what you look like

Let them laugh as you lose weight.
Laugh at them as you make gains.
Turn the fat shaming into congratulations.
Your tidal waves of fat jiggles will turn into tiny puddle waves a glistening six packs which men will envy.

60 with the bar? I started at 70 weighing 280lbs, cringe just thinking about it, 6 months later i just put up 130 for 8. Get after it!

You gotta start somewhere. Anyone who judges you when you're just starting to improve yourself is an insecure asshole.

There's a 400+ guy at my gym and he works harder than anyone there even if he can only do 50 pounds on the lat pulldown 30 on the shoulder press and and can't bench more than the bar.

I have mad respect for him for doing it. I try to be encouraging to him but he's On the Spectrum enough to avoid people completely.

Well how much is the bar? I managed 10 on each side for first 3 sets and then 15 afterwards a little later

Most people give about as much of a shit about you as you do about them, which is next to none. Quit being a fat, self-pitying narcissist and just get after it.

I have a lot more respect for you than the undercut hipsters who come in looking joocy and catback 1pl8 deadlifts, I tell you this much

>undercut hipsters who come in looking joocy and catback 1pl8 deadlifts

This happens?

>undercut hipsters
here i was thinking hipsters couldnt rank lower, what an horrific mental image

every goddamn day famalam

I'm sorry what is a catback 1pl8

Dont give up dude, you can lift more than I could the first time I went in, I could barely bench pres the bar, what got me through being self concious was the thought that the other fuckers in the gym are just as worried about as you are. Dont let anything stop you, least of all yourself!

Bent back, like an arc, 135lbs.

Took me like 9months to do 1 pullup.

4years later I can deadlift 600pounds.

Gains come faster sometimes and slower other times. Just keep on lifting and enjoy the ride.

Join a 24 hour gym and work out at 3am like I do.
>TFW you have hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of equipment all to yourself

Unless you're ripped

But fat and average people have nothing to worry about, you're fine OP

bar is 20kg, unless your gym is gay
