Barbell bench VS Dumbbell bench

Barbell bench VS Dumbbell bench
Which is better Veeky Forums?

Dumbbell because it's harder and you work each muscle individually (no imbalances). It also looks more baddass.

Glorious incline DB master race > filthy BB flat bench peasants

This. Completely removed bb and do incline db for the last month. Chest finally starting to fill out and not have boob look

Barbell because you can't progress on dumbbells for shit or lift heavy.

>DURRRRRRRRRRRRR WHICH EXERCISE IS BETTTER DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

when will this meme end

Why are dumbells much harder than barbell? Is it because of centre of gravity?

Unless you are benching 300 + lbs db are superior and have great carryover to bb bench.

Apparently Big Mîkě used to bench two barbells. Although this was only for a while because the equipment at the gym he was going to at the time didn't ordinarily facilitate lifters of his calibre

Spotted the filthy BB flat bench peasant.

DB for bodybuilding

barbell for fatmode

Two independent things moving around, which also ends up with a slightly different movement path as a result.

Also its harder to get into position.

I do both.
>120kg flat bb bench
>only 30kg dumbbells on each arm

You can lift heavier with Barbells. So there you go.

But many bodybuilders alternate from week to week.

Remember op, aleays do the opposite fit says

If heavier was always better then form wouldnt matter.

I actually do dips, barbell press, db pressing at all different angles, and no, not on the same day. I run upper/lower.

You're all just autistic faggots.

>benching less than 300lbs
>giving "advice" to lifters

Pause bench with a full range of motion is better because you can go heavier, end of story. Obviously dumbbell is good just do it afterwards with a pause and stretch at the bottom

Lifters who dont bench that much, which is most lifters, can benefit from db and if they want to transition it wont be a problem.

It depends.
Are you training for a specific sport?
Are you training just to move more weight?
Are you training for size and proportion?
How much time do you have to spend in the gym?
All these things dictate which of the two is better for you.

That's fucked up m8.

How's your first week of lifting?
