Traps

What contributes most to traps? Put these in order:

Power cleans
DB Shrugs
BB Shrugs
Deadlifts
Overhead press (Rippetoe style, with squeezing the traps at the top)

Something else?

Snatch Grip Deadlift

Genetics.

Power cleans IMHO

>you will never be bane

high volume diddly and ohp for me

>Snatch Grip

Am I the only one imagining a hand cupping a vaj?

I remember that image of two twins, one did SS and the other did a brosplit. The brosplit bro had way bigger traps for some reason, maybe the SS guy replaced cleans with rows.

>Was making gainz part of your plan?

what made my traps grow the most was cleans

Go to the squat rack and just do the second half of a clean. Start at your waist and do 12 reps, your traps will seriously explode. I dont even know why, but i saw more growth from those than I did shrugs

So Hang cleans theN?

Escrima, faggots.

You don't need to do traps or you will look like a turtle

Dyel

Db shrugs pause for 2 seconds at the top sets of 15 with 90-105 pounds
Heavy ass deadlifts with good form
That's all I do
Pic related. .

i tried shrugs and other trap isolations but the only thing that made my traps grow was heavy deadlifts.

come to think of it, i've tried many isolation movements for many muscles but the only gains i think i have ever seen were from heavy compounds, particularly OHP, squats, deadlifts, bench and chins. IMO that's all you need.

Exogenous testosterone.

Also these. And most things deadlift-related.

A pretty face, too much estrogen, and a dick

During my noobgains phase, I dumbell shrugged a pair of 2kgs x Failure and my traps are developed very nicely.

Nowadays, I just do barbell shrugs (Rippetoe's) and deadlift till I feel my traps are sore.

>rolling your shoulders forward this hard

Try doing incline shrugs.

>put bench at 45 or 60 degree angle
>lay chest down
>use 50lb dbs
>focus on squeezing shoulder blades together using nice controlled reps
>do this 20 reps per set

What I found that helps trap and rhomboid development is high rep stuff with pauses at the top focusing on the squeeze.

I've been doing this with heavier weight dumbells, I'm up to 70 lbs now but a few of the fingers on my hand are sort of numb now after this lift. Did I injure a nerve by going too heavy or something? Ever had that?

Upright rows and heavy deads for me.

Dumbbell upright rows

>direct trap work

Enjoy your neck pain. Just get your pulls up, deads, cleans, rows of all types.
