Last time i reduced powerclean frequency i started missing cleans way more. then i did more powerclean and jerk and became more consistent in clean and jerk

i just reduced power snatch frequency recently and now i've gone like three sessions with missing snatches. i just dont lock out when it's overhead or i lose it behind. Or i fall onto my knees

If someone wanted to have a decent amount of positional strength before WL, would programming OHS/Snatch Balances into a strength routine be worth my time/beneficial?

snatch balance is better, OHS is kind of a meme.

OHS is probably the thing you want to do first when learning though.

you should make a webm of you squatting 90. do it from the side if you want to hide your face

Reminder

For 'positional strength' in the recovery of the snatch you could do Pause OHS at different points--so, for instance, take a pause in the bottom, then another at the 'sticking point', then another at lock out. Snatch balance isn't really going to help you develop stability and balance in the same way.

Really, though, if you're just beginning you should be prioritizing your positional strength in the pulling phases. So, pause segment pull/dls, and stage pulls. You need to make sure your positions are correct, and your focus should be on balance and consistency. Do not do these heavy. If you can, have someone watch you and critique your form. If not, record yourself and post videos in online forums like this and maybe someone will say something helpful every once and awhile, maybe.

My OHS is very weak, so would it be worth doing it 2x week maybe after backsquats?

Many mtf on HRT have to cycle their hormones in order to not suffer so much with the side effects of not having test.

I do fine for the most part. Just sucks when it comes to lifting.

I come here semi-regularly, and mostly for OWG, but have never given much thought on your trip.

I train weightlifting, but only for fun. I don't and don't plan on competing. Also my training is completely imbalanced (on purpose) as I don't train upperbody. So it's not like I'd be able to compete well anyways even if I wanted to (and I don't).
