That's not true. Calves always lagged on me but now I work them every single day and I include 30 minutes of steep incline treadmill 3 times a week and got awesome good results. People that blame genetics are just plane lazy

serious newfag question here, heard recently calves are harder to overload (makes sense) so would longer time under tension be better, or is it better to do sets of 8-10reps with heavier weight

i bet none.i stopped working them 3 months in.i bet most people here did the same or relegated them to 3 sets in the end of the workout.

Why do they deserve more than 3 sets?
im a personal trainer so im pretty much at the gym everyday and i see people.
cause you need to work both soleus and gastrocnemius,meaning you need to do raises with straight legs and bent as well.i'd say you need a minimum of 4 sets to get the full effect.
