>tfw ginger

i heard sun actually help with acne

sun block

Now you got me worried. Should I be wearing SPF?

Yes, always, in winter too, even if cloudy.
Yes, you can get tan in you're ultra-white while wearing 50 SPF.
Yes, you can get a healthier-looking tan too via carrots overdose

Your future self will thank you - better start at 20 then at 30.

>in you're ultra-white
*if you're ultra-white

you'll age with sun exposure, but you'll age even more without the sun

Horseshit.
Wearing a 50 SPF != not exposing yourself to the sun.
Not exposing yourself to exposure __at all__ (nor protected nor direct)(something that wasn't implied) won't harm your skin; you'll just have to supplement vitamin D.

There's more: not wearing a sunscreen may hamper your skin's ability to produce vitamin D

80% of "visible facial aging signs" in Caucasians are caused by UV exposure. Your claim is both extremely vague and groundless

Its so fucking funny how you basement dwellers fear the sun
No surprise this place is full of permavirgins

>""""White people""""

Kek

All races should wear skin block, especially black people because then you're less likely to notice the damage untill it's too late.

>colored
>""""""""""""""people"""""""""""""""

>Standing in front of thermonuclear fallout with nothing but a thin layer of gas and a little magnet to protect you.
Your funeral.

Underfused comment

It doesn't.
Sun suppresses your immune system and since the redness caused by acne is an immune response to the inflammation, you notice less redness when out in the sun.
It actually makes your acne worse in the long run.
It also increases oil production, since your face gets dry from the sun, so more breakouts.

Yes, always SPF30+ when it's day outside.

You're right, but even without sun block our skin is still more resistant to sun damage than white people's. At least on a cosmetic level.

>It doesn't.
fuck
there goes my hope of not looking like shit during summer

*tips fedora*

I always wondered about the carrot overdose thing. How many medium/large sizes ones would one need to eat in a day? I already eat one every day

yes but again, you should still use sunscreen you fucking retard

I found out that I'm allergic to my sunblock (had a huge breakout at one point) I think it has both organic and inorganic active agents. I'm defintely allergic to the inorganic once I think as I've tried other sunblocks that fucked up my skin even more.

Anyone have any ideas for what to wear daily? Does it help if I just stay in doors/wear a hat as much as possible?

Never thought about it that way before.

>thinks supping vit d is the same as getting it naturally
what is bioavaiblity

no sun=no vit d=rapid ageing and just not skin

Just came back from 4 hours at the beach. that vitamin D feels great and the girls look great

It's aging not ageing forst of all, and second of all the sun ages you. You can take vitamin d supplements if you're not getting enough of it from dairy products somehow.

No worries. I haven't gone outside in 3 months. (except one day for groceries)

Not gonna stop that streak.

ayyy

>forst
Fuck nigga you were so close

See the problem is the best sunscreens are the ones that have both of these types of ingredients.
If you go for something completely "mineral" with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, you're sacrificing either UVA or UVB protection depending on which you choose.
These are also supposed to be better for easily irritated skins, but they are often oily so they may clog your pores, so kinda counterproductive.
Hats certainly help a lot.
If i were you, i'd look more into companies like Avene, their products often work for most people i've introduced them to and rarely irritate my skin.

Vitamin D3 supps work just like getting it naturally, just stay away from D2 since your body needs to convert it first.

Thanks I'll check Avene out.

>realize all you have is d2
SHIT.

Anyone else get itchy bump red skin when out during a sunny day? I could be standing outside for 5 minutes wearing a t shirt and my arms would hive up and itch a few hours later.

Come outside user. The weather is great today

>mfw I live in Greece but I'm pale as fuck and get burned very easily
A-At least I can get a nice tan if I try for a couple of weeks, and I live 3 minutes from the beach

Sounds like sun allergy to me, look into it and if you are able to visit a dermatologist it would be great.

Try to get D3.
There's no difference in price.

I live in Greece as well, pale as fuck but i hate tanning and the way it makes my skin look.
SPF50+ all day.

I use SPF30 for protection and I slowly get a tan
If I go below 30 I get burned

I have to make sure to apply it to all parts of my body, especially the feet because I always forget there, otherwise I get burned

SPF50 doesn't get me tanned at all, but it's too thick and hard to remove afterwards I feel like I need to scrub it in the shower to remove it from my leg hairs

Looks extremely cold.

Have some warmth user!

Looks like a foreign land far away from here.
I don't like it.

But I live in Ohio user.

Im a ginger and the sun truly is my greatest enemy.
On sunny days i need to hide muh gunz

>white people are the master race
>sunlight kills them

>tfw still get tanned with SPF50

i want this suffering to end

We should go back to the caves and let you niggas off yourselves

What brand are you using?

I always use Piz Buin it's the best

Wtf are you talking about?

>aliens have superior technology and intelligence
>germs kill them
Yeah. Tends to be something like that.

But note how we solved it.

See thats what i meant
Lmao

The sun is a fusion reactor. It radiates tons of stuff. The earth has a magnetic field that helps redirect a part of that. The atmosphere does the same (and is also the cause of global warming, it's a bit complicated).
So he's describing what you'd be doing if you were just standing on earth in the sun.
How's middleschool?

>wanting to be young forever

Are you all fucking women in here? Who gives a shit? Men look great with older skin, you fags want to look like Joff your whole life or something?

I'd rather be tan and beautiful while I'm young enough to enjoy it than be 50 w perfect pale skin.

I'm a biologist, I know how it works. The way he worded it was fucking retarded. The fact someone is that afraid of being in the sunlight is mind boggling.

>not understanding what makes old men attractive
It's not the wrinkly skin it's the unavoidable signs of age and the associated experience that's attractive.
Look up a billion wicked thoughts on YouTube. It's a 1 hour video on sexual cues among humans.

Pic related.
I thought Piz Buin is for when you want to tan.

I have a beard and a hat

I never use sprays I use the traditional one which you squeeze and it brings out a milky white cream that you have to spread yourself

Maybe that makes a difference I don't really know

No thanks. I'd rather just live my life and be happy.

Bye anons, gonna goto the river with some friends and play in the sun WITHOUT SPF :O

...

>I'm a biologist,
Yes, we were already aware you're a mathematically impaired layman.

>tfw ginger who lives in the desert

>tfw ginger in the desert at 7000 feet

>no sun=no vit d=rapid ageing and just not skin
Nothing in my post suggest you not to take sun.
Nothing in your post or in literature suggests that a lack of vitamin D from sun exposure leads to premature aging
All the literature points to UV rays as being the first and foremost cause for aging signs.

You're just making a bunch of non-sense equations.

Please don't ever reply to me again.

>bioavailability
While D3 is exactly the same you produced with sun exposure, D2 is equally the same.
>ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24915331
fuck off

>mfw I got spf110 and it works great
>mfw all these tanning faggoes are gonna look like an old leather shoe and I will remain young
>mfw i see mfw

my derm won't give me antibiotics because summer is coming
FUCK acne, it is literally ruining my life -- when I look at the mirror every morning I want to kill myself

wide-brimmed hat, white collared shirt, long khakis
you will sweat, but that's preferable to cancer

>spf 15 blocks 93%
>spf 30 blocks 97%
>spf 50 blocks 98%
>no spf blocks out 100% so once you go over 50 you're just wasting your money

>love hot weather
>went to Las Vegas last summer and just sun-bathed
>never been sun burnt in my life. Hot weather just makes me glow

>live in fucking Canada where it's cold as balls 7 months of the year and people praise the shitty weather

Can't wait till i'm done school and can save up some cash. Really considering moving to Texas, Florida or even SoCal if it's not too expensive.

You don't need more than spf50 for daily use and the higher you go the worse the product is for your skin's general health, because it's packed with heavier chemicals.
You only use such products after a procedure or something.
Also this It can't be that bad, user.

There is no such things as SPF measurements above 50. In most countries the highest is "50+" because they're not allowed to lie with a made-up measurement, though it seems in the US this is not the case.

There are such products, they're not exactly made-up measurements, it's just that they're kinda useless, because if an SPF50 product protects like 98% from sun damage an SPF100 product protects you for like 98,5%.

I wear a moisturizer base and then an outer protective layer of neutrogena ultrasheer spf 50 sunblock everyday. double up around the eyes and forehead and nasolabial folds. Sunglasses with UV protection on top of that. I'm going to stay gorgeous forever, lads.

its Florida user. cold doesnt exist down here. Only humidity

i just use 15spf in my face cream

>mfw im pale and have sensitive skin
>mfw light exposure would give me instant freckles
>mfw prolonged exposure would give me inflammation

>tfw pajeet and rarely in the sun, mostly indoors
Do I even need to worry about 20 minutes max in the sun daily

I have backne and I just started using the sun to cure it. I stay in FL so using natural sun ofc and doing it every other day for 15 minutes. Will this finally make it go away?

No, sun won't make your bacne go away.

But I'm already seeing a decrease on inflammation and haven't had new breakouts. Plus, I'm black so my skin is more tolerant to the sun than you white boys... Prove me wrong.

The only studies that can support your argument are the ones that use blue UV light in a controlled environment vs medication like benzoyl peroxide and have been found to have comparable effects.
For every person out there claiming to see an improvement to their acne due to sun exposure, there's one more claiming the exact opposite.
Doing it the "sun way", you risk getting a sunburn, drying out your skin, increasing sebum production leading to even worse bacne, premature skin aging and of course skin cancer.
Your higher amounts of melanin won't protect you from skin cancer and that's why especially African-Americans have the highest rates of skin cancer compared to all other ethnic groups.

You heard wrong. If anything it actually makes it worse.

Any claims that it makes it better are more related to the fact that a bit of a tan makes it harder to see.

Unless of course you are deficient on vitamin e, then it could help to get some small amount of sun exposure, but certainly not the lay out on the beach for hours, or go to a sun bed type.

meant d, tho e is also important for skin health.

So what should I do? I'm gonna go see a derm soon but other than that, I'm stumped.
