How to make oats not suck?

How the Fick do you make oats not suck ass. Eating these things taste so fucking bad with nothing in it. What can I add to oats that make them taste good? Also, milk or water for oats?

Enlighten me on oats!!

Add Greek yogurt to it!

cum in them

Stop being a picky bitch

Don't do this.
Milk for bulk, water for cut.
Throw in some fruits and you have a delicious breakfast.

Drink them

A couple chocolate chips and some peanut butter, and you pretty literally have an oatmeal form of a chocolate chip Chewy bar. Tastes delicious, and extra protein.

I usually have banana or blueberries. if you're bulking you can put sugar in there

Also, what kind of oatmeal to buy? You don't want that like "instant" oatmeal right?

Normal oats?

This guy knows what's up. I'd also say add honey if you want some sweetness, fruits as well.

cinnamon+milk+little sugar

just two chocolate chips?

I chuck some oats, celery, carrots, banana, water and some protein powder into a blender. Try that.

handful of blueberries and a little of whatever sweetener your particular variant of autism allows

Substitute fruit juice for water or use 1 part juice 1 part water.

You're welcome.

You are supposed to eat oats hot right? Can you eat it like cold cereal or would that fuck you stomach?

Don't eat them raw. It can cause severe discomfort and possible injury.

This x1000. And to take it to a whole 'nother level, my favorite recipes is:

100g instant oats
1/4 serving (115g) plain fat free greek yogurt
large spoonful of ground cinnamon
4 squirts of orange/tangerine Mio sweetener
1/2 (15g) scoop vanilla or some other non chocolate flavor protein powder

Huge bowl comes out to about 500 calories, around 40g protein, and tastes ungodly good.

Are you cooking the oats first or what?

Do you mean raw like no water or milk? Like can they be eaten with just the oats and cold milk added or does it have to be heated?

>Bowl of raw oats and cold milk

I usually cook it in water 1:1 (1 cup of oats: 1 cup of water)

When it's cooked through I do a splash of milk, some honey, a tablespoon of olive oil and whatever fruits and nuts I feel like throwing in. Yogurt occasionally, and whey (no honey since usually there is already sugar in whey.)

Different guy here, when I was a kid my grandma bought be a big ass thing of oats. I just poured sugar in there and snacked on it. It isn't that bad

Wtf i have never cooked my oats. Ive always thought thats how you eat them unless you want porridge? Am i going to die

Am I dead? I only ever eat it cold...

Cool with milk, add cinnamon after a minute, finish off with banana or blueberries. Enjoy

R.I.P these two dudes.

I've had oatmeal porridge probably 80% of my breakfasts my whole life. I boil them lightly in milk(doesnt matter what kind), so they retain texture and dont get to thick. I eat it with a tablespoon of honey. I even look forvard to eating it tomorrow lol

I lift since 4 years and luckily never fell for the oat meme.
When I bulk, I just eat muesli.
When I cut, I just don't eat carbs and high calorie food.

What is muesli and how is it made? Isn't it just cold oats? What's the oat meme anyway?

Oats should only be eaten with a dash of butter in the center, then a dusting of cinnamon covering the entire surface area and then a dusting of sugar.

>not adding cinnamon or vanilla extract to your oats
There's thousands of things you can add to plain oats, yet you can't think of one?

Add honey you stupid faggot. Also fresh fruit and peanut butter are nice additions

So I'm taking that you never heard of something called "spices", OP?

Steel cut oatz for the sick jaw gains. The texture is also better than rolled oats, and better for you too. The only downside is you have to boil them

>cut banana
>add to oats
>mix milk and chocolate banana flavoroured protein powder
>combine all ingredients and microwave for 2 minutes (remember to stir)
>eat

This, you could even make oats savory if you wanted to

Do you absolutely have to boil steel cut oats?

It didn't really matter if you cook them before or after adding all the other ingredients or not, just depends if you prefer your finished bowl on the warmer side or not. I prefer mine just a tad warm but really thick, so I don't use much water and do the microwaving of the parts first, then add everything.

*Microwaving of the oats first

Müsli is a mix of different kind of grains, dried or fresh fruits, nuts or sometimes even chocolate. It's usually eaten with milk. Oats are just a part of müsli dish. Just like a salad consists of several ingredients.

It's very tasty and enjoyable to eat.

You can get here even Protein Müsli, which has just sick nutrition stats.
Pic related is a sort I sometimes buy (chocolate banana):

100g :
400cal
14g of fat
19g of carbs
43g of protein

Oats on their own just taste awful. You don't have to force yourself to eat just plain oats everyday. Go on theproteinchef.co/healthy-recipes/ and find something that fits your diet.

Squats, Oatz & GOMAND is just a meme. There are many roads to victory.

how does this muesli look? it has a shitton of carbs...

I have a zojirushi rice cooker. I use it to make steel cut oats since it has time delay capabilities. I just put 1 cup of oats and 4 cups of water the night before and set the timer. It's got an amazing texture the next day.

I add berries and almond milk usually

I buy maple brown sugar oats. I use milk because it tastes a lot better than water. Water makes it all pasty and shit. If I have berries laying around the fridge, I'll some of them. Blueberries are really good with them

apple pie spice, pumpkin pie spice, etc. buy in bulk on amazon.

depends on the sort you buy.

Just like with salads, they can be healthy or hamplanet friendly.
I always watch out that my high carb müsli uses honey as a sweetener or the only sugar it contains comes from the fruits.

But just like oats, it's not cutting food. Oats are for bulking.

Bulking?
>blend a cup of oats with your protein shake

Cutting?
>you don't fucking need to eat oats

THEN FUCKING EAT SOMETHING ELSE?

WHO THE FUCK SAID YOU HAD TO EAT OATS? NOBODY EVEN FUCKING ATE THAT SHIT UNTIL IT BECAME A FEDORA MEME FROM DYEL SS FAGS IN THE 2000s.

Nobody in the golden era ate that slop.

Cook thick oat flakes in water with a bit of rock salt until you get a thick, somewhat flaky mush. Put into bowl. Add some honey. Add some milk without mixing it into the porridge.
If muesli people do it I think it's fine for us to do it, I dunno

you can eat them cold, but it just harder to choke down.

prepare oats. cool. put in blender with 1 banana, 1 tbs peanut butter, milk, and 2 scoops of whey. thank me later.

>not eating your plain oats
Your magic circuits are going to be subpar.

>Falling for plain oats meme
Fuck off

>buying oats with added sugar
>less than half the carbs are from the oats
>mfw

Cook with milk, cook cinnamon with oats, add a little brown sugar.

You guys are fine. Look up overnight oats.

>microwave oats
>making it

Sometime I add pepper, green onions, soy sauce and a fried egg to mine

Don't want to over do it

turn them into a shake or just eat rolled outs raw, it's the same recipe depending on what i feel like

oats
greek yogurt
frozen fruit

blend the oats and add water after if you want a smoothie.

MIX YOUR OATS WITH THE POWDERED BONES OF YOUR ENEMIES

this! put a little bit too much water and drink it strait

No. You can still boil water and let the oats sit in it

1 cup oats
half cup of milk per cup of oats (rest water)
tablespoon syrup
tablespoon brown sugar
cinnamon
nutmeg?

The extra sweets are strong tasting but less than 100 cals. Decent even for cutting.

I do something similar to this. I include a small amount of peanut butter, frozen blueberries, flax meal, cinnamon, and a small drizzle of honey.

I eat my oats raw. Always have, always will
And sprinkled into Greek yogurt usually

microwave oats with milk, add greek yogurt, maple syrup and berries (sour ones like blackberries are god tier)

Git youself some Hyper Oats. Way better than regular pleb oats and tastier too

I've been doing a bit of vanilla extract, coconut oil, milk and a dash of sugar (eating for preworkout not cutting). It's fucking bomb. Previously I did PB, honey and banana, and frozen fruit. Also would recommend those two

I mix one bag of maple brown sugar oats with 3x the amount of plain oats. Mix, pour hot milk and enjoy.

I usually make it like this

1 cup oats
1 cup milk
1 cup almond breeze

Cook on stove until soft but not too runny

cut up half a banana or so
A few semi sweet chocolate chips
A bit of Cinnamon
Dash of brown sugar

I read someone used some protein powder. I'll have to try that, but I really enjoy my recipe.
