I'm in thia thread and there's nothing benchjoe can do about it

in for having fucked hip and no squats

you never learn mang. I got the bist binch

Trappy
do you use the male or female toilet?

Why is sumo so easy

It's not

>Deadlift lmao4pl8 conventional
>Deadlift lmao5pl8 sumo

yeah fuck off

Yo Isley, didn't respond last night, what is your squat max?

Once it leaves the ground it flies up, i keep almost falling backwards with the force of lockout

in for unfucking my hips by squatting ED.

what sorcery is this?

I didn't choke to death

well, mainly forcing myself into perfecting my form seems beneficial but i was kinda suprised myself to see my (scoliosis related) hip pain disappear so quickly.

do people really have this amount of difference, i doubt there is 5kg between my conventional and sumo. i only do sumo because it helps me with back rounding.

...

I asked the mentally ill man the same question before

He goes in the girls washroom

Which is even a controversial issue here with mentally ill men going in women's washrooms here in Canada

I can't imagine the laws in Brazil tho kek

This will help unfuck things

Women's.

I'm legally female, so the laws don't have anything to do with it.

I never had any issues when I visited the US either, and I don't think people were checking my stall while I was peeing to see if I had a vagina or not.

Is the Yusuke vs Daiki happening today or tomorrow?

Hey guys wondering if you can help.

I'm really fat, extremely unathletic, smell pretty bad and my life is pointless.

I want to get into a sport that allows me to feel good about myself without actually doing anything that could stop me being a fat shit.

After much research I've come to the realisation that powerlifting is pretty much perfect for me.

How do I get started?

SS+GOMAD

this

I do believe its my hip flexor, although i've been stretching it loads it hasn't helped, currently doing pigeon stretches and a lunge stretch and some quad stretching and foamrolling of the hip
hasn't helped yet though also doing the one in a deep squat pressing my legs to the side with my elbows

does he get any benefit from lifting with the deadlift suit down.

>start bleeding on my first set of deadlifts
>it's 6x3

Do you get any benefit from using the name field

sipin lean got me fucked up

no not really,

If they're inflamed, let them rest for a couple of days.

You can also use a resistance band across your knees for warmup sets, it helps you to cue the shoving the knees out part - and that usually fixes people's anterior hip pain (along with obvious mobility work).

And don't skip warmup sets.

I think that's just a regular singlet, not a deadlift suit.

>bleeding

Stay safe.

Eeww it's trappychan the ugly man!

>Stay safe.
It's just my shins and knees

I've rested them for about 2 months though with some sloppy stretching
trying out a half heavy squat every 3 weeks or so
it hurts more in my hip when I shove my knees out more and have a wider stance, narrowing my stance helps a bit but I get weak with that narrow stance

I never understood this obsession with pushing knees out.

Almost none of the top squatters have their knees really wide out when they push out of the whole, so what's the point.

I'm guessing it's so that you don't pull an isley (knees caving in)

It's exactly what causes you to pull an Isley.

Having your knees unnaturally wide out will 100% result in them moving back into strongest position as soon as you apply force.

Isley stance is too wide and anyone knows.

This is the best hip flexor stretch, allows a greater stretch. Flex the glute to apply more stretch and release

Grab your heel for bigger rom

Knees are supposed to track over the feet, not go wider than them.

The thing with pushing the knees out, besides the obvious part where it makes your squat stronger, is that it helps prevent anterior femoral glide and impingement of tendons.

As for stretching, don't just stretch the hip flexors. Also stretch the hamstrings, glutes, hip rotation, quads, etc. All the things are interlinked, really.

And don't skip warmup sets. Muscle straining when skipping warmups happen all the time.

I think Rippetoe also writes about how reducing knee (front) travel in the lowbar squat can reduce the chance for impingement as well, in the SS book. Though I don't recall 100%, but you might wanna check it there.

212.5kg

That's a real shame

Are you switching?

Ewww it's the ugly man

I'll check the timetable. I think it's Friday

Happened when it was narrow you scrublord

Rippetoe or someone use it as a cue to get his beginners to squat as he wants them to. Other beginners read "knees out" and apply it to every squat ever. Kind of like how Westside cues for quintuple-ply lifting gets used everywhere even for raw lifters.

>212.5kg
don't joffrey squat more than that kek

Artificially and actively pushing my knees out makes my squat incredibly weak.

Coan once talked about how retarded he thinks this cue is anyways.

All you want to achieve is sitting between your knees and not ontop of them - and that you do automatically by thinking about exactly this thing.

I repeat: Almost no strong squatter in the classic IPF has their knees excessively far out.

>pED COAN, GOAT.
inb4 isley you lift at ptc

>has their knees excessively far out

No one is arguing about this senpai. Knees are supposed to travel over toes.

Because you do exactly what I walk about when I say that "knees out" causes people to have them way too far out.

You squat narrow, move your knees just enough so you can sit between them and that's it.

Post a narrow squat front view of yours.
Can watch when at home.

Probably. Bella will overtake my squat soon.

Then actively pushing out knees to the point where you learn it with a freaking band around your legs as resistance is stupid.

Everyone can push their knees way further out than their toes and this is exactly what happens when you tell them to push their knees out.

>Bella
is this reference to trappy? Because of the /tv/ meme that Bella thorne is a "she"

Apparently Hancott is off the nominations for worlds.

You're misunderstanding what he talks about. He means that the cue "knees out" will make most people push their knees out more than neccessary.

>drop calories by 150
>Lose 2.5 lbs in 2-3 days
I thought my water weight drop was over, what is this?

No. Phil's gf.

Jesus. I can't hit depth unless my knees are out.

youtu.be/qy2fIPb-uQU

>Then actively pushing out knees to the point where you learn it with a freaking band around your legs as resistance is stupid.

No it's not. It's a very common drill, also used in WL even.
youtube.com/watch?v=DrwiddA_8CQ

>Everyone can push their knees way further out than their toes and this is exactly what happens when you tell them to push their knees out.

That's why you tell them to angle their feet and then to push their knees out so they track over the toes, not to push your knees out as much as they can while having the feet pointing forwards.

Muscle.

Does america really look like this? Which area do you think it is? Definitely moving to america after uni

wew

Pete rubbish, wew its like reddit all over again.

And what almost always happens with WL?

Their knees literally sweep back in as soon as they push out of a, say, catch.

You shouldn't set your toes and make your knees follow your toes.

You should set your toes so that they match your knees when you are in the hole sitting between them.

Description says Nebraska. Shit state.

Will watch when at home.

Meanwhile, go watch some Bodorio squats.

>Their knees literally sweep back in as soon as they push out of a, say, catch.

Yes, but they open their knees when going down. You're thinking about a different issue here.

descriptions don't seem to work for me

why? midwest or great plains looks cozy

There's nothing out there. Nothing important has ever happened there

America is a very large place breh. P sure we have the most biomes of any nation.
Here's a drive from the village I grew up in to the "city" I'm in now m.youtube.com/watch?v=YoTIfcNM1Is

No; what I am thinking about is the logical consequence of pushing knees out in the squat.

Really, get any beginner and tell him to try hard to push his knees out when he goes down.

Guess what happens.

I've literally taught many beginners at this point, and they all squatted with good knee position after I tell them to "angle their feet and then to push their knees out so they track over the toes".

Some still have issues with not opening their knees properly, but that can be corrected with more sets, cueing, or if it's really stubborn, using bands across the knees.

I've never had someone overdo the knee opening, but if that happens it can also easily be corrected by himself if he reads the actual instructions in the book.

>he still thinks hes a real coach
lol

>equipped
ruining the shot of my final attempt

t-thanks

No just doing opposite stance until comp prep, helping hip mobility and using glutes

would have murdered this faggot

>tfw only did one set out of four when board pressing on my last week before testing 1RM (running Clutz for bench)
>feeling like shit and joints hurt cause weather is changing every five minutes
Feels pretty bad, lads. What do?

No idea why he decided to do it directly infront of the camera. There were plenty of places to sit. He seems like a cool dude though. I'm not too mad

When someone angles their feet aggressively shit does down.

Instead you could just tell people to learn to sit between their knees and they would learn it properly.

I squatted the same way at the beginning and as weight for heavier I realized more and more how stupid it is to actively control where your knees are.

>not having a completely separate area for warmups and wrapping

Why would you wrap on the fucking platform

It's literally a tiny 1 room basement

Oi Trappy, tem alguma foto tua ai pra eu ver agora?

Dark Matter

I squat lowbar and until a few days ago, my heels were inside shoulder width and I got all the way to 3pl8 and I've had some people telling me I should squat wider.

I shrugged it off because if I was squatting incorrectly all this time, how did I get to 3pl8 without pain?

Long story short, I'm squatting wider and perhaps its just me getting used to the wider stance, but my knees want to cave in. I actually hit 3pl8 yesterday with the wider stance and it was my second time squatting wider. Have I been seriously limiting what I can squat without the wide stance?

Hilarious. I know it's water weight, just wasn't expecting it to drop so much after a 150 calorie reduction

What shoes are you wearing?

>Workout everyday for the past three months or so
>Start to see major improvements in my core/legs/shoulder areas
>Arms are still lanky as fuck
>Chest is still flat
halp

Chucks. Its not excessive knee cave and I think my abductors need to get stronger and used to doing more work since my stance is wider.

by knees out I mean also having a wider stance
I do only try to push my knees over my toes but the wider the stance the worse it gets is what I'm trying to say

Ive kept on deadlifting and doing bent over rows

Been thinking if it has to do with me doing bad abwork, i usually do crunches with legs on a bench and i hold a weight and crunch it up

it pretty much happened after I did canditos example of abwork 2 times, standing doing like a reverse deadlift thing pulling down a cable
althought it may just be a coincidence
I've squatted the same way just fine for a year before this

Tbf if you were fine squatting with a narrower stance, I don't see much of a reason to change it.

If you want to stick with the wider stance, do what you want. Have you ever tried squatting in heels? I remember I switched to flats and when I would squat lowbar with a wider stance, which I had to because otherwise my stance felt too narrow, I'd get valgus that just wouldn't go away. I spent months trying to fix it and nothing changed. I switched to PowerLift 2.0s and my valgus immediately disappeared.

I have not tried with heels but I will continue to mess around with the wider stance to see if I an progress from 3pl8 faster and try to establish the motor pattern with the wide stance, if it still gives me trouble, I will consider these shoes. I see the guys who squat heavy wear these anyway. Thanks!

I chose them because they were the cheapest. If another brand strikes your fancy, go for it.

WTF LADS

Nah. Only fsn.

New hancott lads.

He is a classic junior burnout.

Less than two years and this

Link?

No you wouldn't have

See

did you understand the reasoning, i didnt desu

Damn dude, I'm only 2.5 kg away from your squat.

Since I started PL I measure myself to people I know IRL or speak to online, pretty neat. Still miles away from your diddly though

I'm the benchmark for everyone. I can never be strong because strong is defined as anyone better than me :(

He's burned out. He put too much pressure on himself (because he's an idiot) and doesn't have the right psychology (even though he thought he did).

Last year of junior

No more EZ medals soon, had a crisis
