Do you skip abs day?

I don't have an ab day but do work them out atleast 3 times a week after I finish whatever routine im doing that day.

Exactly what I do, I view them as supplemented muscles to work. Just throw some crunches, planking, leg raises, etc

I do 200 situps snd 200 leg raises everyday

I certainly do skip abs day, I don't see a point

i thought abs just come through with low bodyfat? why do you need to exercise those muscles when they're already there

Because being strong actually matters, not just looking good. Jeez

All your muscles come through with low bodyfat. If you don't want them to look like shit, you hypertrophy them with strength training.

Any day I'm not doing core exercises is skipping ab day.

Tuesday: Chest/ tris/ abs
Wednesday: Shoulders/ abs
Friday: Legs/ abs
Saturday: Back/ bis/ abs
Never skip ab day.

What is the core? How does it help squats, bench, or Deadlift?

I'm on stronglifts. Do I need to add ab work? I thought all the big lifts work the abs

all compound lifts will work core. but you also want direct accessory work. after your 5x5, which should take about an hour to hour .5, do ab work and chins/dips depending on which day it is.

no, sit ups and crunches hyper extend your spine and are inefficient. do standing/kneeling cable crunches, hanging leg raises, bridges, planks. russian twists.
