What kind of post secondary institution offers PE classes? Is this common in the US?

It is common as an elective but at most schools not mandatory.

Lots of schools that have campus gyms and athletic areas like pools and courts offer sports and PE classes, though the PE is more like training

My community college in the US required physical education credits if you wanted to get an associate's there. Plenty of colleges offer or require physical education stuff. Actual "PE Class" stuff was less common, but it's become much more commonplace as out of shape as many graduates are (especially with older students returning to school).

I thought this was strange the first time I heard it too, but apparently it's not that odd even on the West Coast in Canada. Typically they count as 1/3 of a credit or something in Canada. I went to school on the East Coast and in Ontario though, and there was nothing close to that unless you were studying Kinesiology or to be a PE teacher.
