Would you like to?

mainly stoicism

I live by the King of aesthetics philosophy

Buddhism

He was fucking perfect, brah

I just bought Meditations on Audible. Can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

Do whatever I feel like doing all the time.

Follow his teachings and you too can become a sicunt. We're all gonna make it brah

Stoic
Eastern Nihilism
Christianity

I don't give a fuck about most things, they are nonsense distractions

But there is peace to be found in the chaos of the world

Peace that should be upheld and shared

>you will never fuck triss or yen

Christianity doesn't really go well with the other two

Hedonism and Nihilism ftw

>tfw you will never be geralt

help

>I don't give a fuck about most things, they are nonsense distractions
>But there is peace to be found in the chaos of the world
>Peace that should be upheld and shared

Yes, it does. Another word for Eastern Nihilism would be Buddhism, but as a Christian I can't be a Buddhist. I can take some of its teachings about life, and apply it with Christian and Stoic teachings.

biological law of nature dominated by instincts

Being restricted in creating your own philosophy because you believe in some bullshit religion and can't change it because you've been brianwashed

nothing you do matters

vs

you are being constantly judged by some almighty being and you will be subjected to eternal damnation if you don't behave the right way, your life is a test

bhagavad gita

listen for bedtime story

notice understanding of reality deepening daily

spiritual nectar motherfucker

I am become Chad, Destroyer of pussies

Never trust a man named chip

Smoke weed, get money.
Try to create memories as often as possible with friend.
Try not to strangle anyone or burn down their house.

>being restricted
I know, sucks. I feel sorry for such people.

>nothing you do matters
Who are you saying believes this?

>Who are you saying believes this?

Nihilists?

Eastern Nihilists = Buddhism

Buddhism does not truly state nothing matters. That's the Western, counter-culture, trickled-down version.

yall welcome

>Meditations
Bunch of feel good crap Marcus wrote to himself. One out of ten things in there are practical advice.

Now the Enchirdion is where it's at. 50 segments of pure practical philosophy.

Still doesn't go well with an almighty being judging all your actions

>tfw no yen porn

What doesn't?

Jews

>It's a Veeky Forums doesn't know what they're talking about episode

Feels like a re-run.

Simple OP, one day I will be smart enough, experienced enough, skilled enough, and strong enough to be a Spectre. It's not enough to just make it in the gym, I have to make it in all parts of my life.

any form of nihilism

I never talk about politics, religion, and sex in mixed company.

This!

Categorically wrong.

Crush your enemies
See them driven from you
And hear the lamentations of their women

Asatru, and not in the holy Odin and Thor kind of way, just the key principles.
>pic related

I like to explore ideas, then test my thoughts against my understanding of these schools of thought

>what would Jesus do?
>what would teenage mutant ninja turtles do?
>what would Buddha do?
>what would a samurai do?
>what would George Carling do?
>what would a pacifist do?
>what would a random Nord in skyrim do?
>what would gandalf do?
>what would a British POW from slaughterhouse 5 do?
>what would Mr. Money mustache do?
Possibly the result of growing up without a male role model, but I find it enjoyable and useful.

Here's how I would sum up my philosophy:

Human experience is important enough to make an effort to improve your life and that of others. Be kind.

Don't be a doormat. Do no harm but take no shit.

Apply yourself to something.

If ultimately you fail in your endeavours, it doesn't matter because the larger universe will go on, so don't take things too seriously.

how so?

I used to live by honesty above all else. These days I just lift and learn so I can ruin a few lives before I die. Preferably looking like a jacked Indio while I do so.
I'm an incredibly bitter man.

Layers of understanding
Understanding
Operational Efficiency

All allow teachings of Buddhism to work well alongside Christianity.

and yet christianity freaks out about minor shit like meditation

>Christianity freaks out about meditation

Is that a person or something?

I know the Catholic Church has stated meditation is reductionist, and that's true, but unless the Pope officially canonizes a statement, it doesn't really affect anything. There are numerous types of meditation recommended by various Christian churches.

So, tell your friend 'christianity' to chill out. Meditation is cool.

Also, read a book. For you.

>What would I do?

>you can't refer to a collective that way

are you always this pompous or only when you post on a vietnamese basket weaving board?

>Christians citing the pope as an authority.

Are you sure you still want to do that, user?

Only when I'm being questioned/told I can't do something. Problem?

I'm sure I want to tell someone the Pope/Vatican can have as many opinions on as many things as they want, and that it doesn't change much.

My philosophy loosely -
There is no such thing as "intrinsic" value coming before human experience
you ascribe value (or meaning) to all things yourself

In essence there is no "point" to life before you decide there is. On one hand that sounds depressing, on the other it is freeing because there is no value or moral authority to yield to. You take ownership of your actions as a pure individual. You recognize the importance of your values just as much as their lunacy, since you are the one who made them up "arbitrarily" in the first place.

It's not much of a code since it's much too vague. In practice once you form a belief that holds water, you stick to it until new information makes it fail. More importantly try not to have self contradictory beliefs and act in a way where your values contradict one another.

Strict codes are more romantic but usually end up falling on their own face

>Only when I'm being questioned/told I can't do something. Problem?

Not at all. I was just pointing out that your religion doesn't really tolerate mixing in other philosophies and practices. I'm far from telling you you can't do something. but why do you consider yourself a christian if you don't follow the doctrine?

What you -- have inherited from your ancestors, you must earn -- before you can own.
The most precious possession in this world though - are its own people.
And for these people - and for this nation, we have to struggle and fight.
And never to languish; and never to weaken; and never to give up; and never to despair.

Niggers are pleb

Fuck it. I mean we're most likely a project to a dimension creating culture made of another humongous life form of another dimension that we physically don't have the ability to comprehend. Life is random bullshit but you can sort of influence how the petree dish grows depending on what you put in there.

I'm 25 and I could die happy any second. I don't really care much for what people think they need for happiness. I'm very minimalistic and have already accepted my fate. I'm not going to berate my soul through any unnecessary stress if it doesn't affect my survival.

IMO the goal of life is nothing outside of experience for your soul to carry on a more well rounded energy to the next life. People think it is to procreate but why. Nigga you can get a cat and call it a family and itll be way cheaper and I guarantee you won't have to be a try hard secretly gay douchedad forcefully stuck in an awful soul killing job because "muh family" to get the family experience. Also, pets are way better to get before kids. If you can't handle a few cats or dogs don't fucking procreate. I'm so sick of this "my child is perfect" meme.

Marriage is an experience where you meet the right person in life naturally. Going outta your way to find marriage "just because you want love" is fucking laughable. Face it. If this girl isn't dreaming about you, you aren't the one. You have a ton of work to do before you are perfect in the eyes of someone you consider perfect. There's no race. People think it's a race until you die but your energy carries over. "the you" will still be there but no physical memories of past lives that you can conceive accurately.

my inner philosophy is finding peace through the toughest of situations.

>but why do you consider yourself a christian if you don't follow the doctrine?

Who said I don't? Do you think I don't, because I diversify where I get my spiritual/life teachings from? The commandment said no false idols, not "no information from anywhere else ever".

And, primarily: I follow Jesus Christ. He was an incredible man with a lot we can learn from.

Yourself?

Today the beer-happy bourgeois (Bierspiesser) of those times is no longer regarded as the ideal of the German Volk, but men and girls who are fit as a fiddle, who are string taut. What we want from our German youth is different from what the past wanted of it. In our eyes, the German youth of the future must be slender and supple, swift as greyhounds, tough as leather, and hard as Krupp steel. We must cultivate a new man in order to prevent the ruin of our Volk by the degeneration manifested in our age.

RIP Zyzz

Peace is a lie.
There is no peace, but passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
Rage shall set me free.

It took me two wars in shit-hole countries, a lot of traveling, and a lot of reading to discover for myself the truth to these words from my youth.

>"The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense."

...

he has a point on peace tho

...

Consistency is everything

I waited for someone to say this! Thank you, man!
Hail Crom and trust your steel!

i try to live every day in a way that would make him proud

Not the same guy, but keep believing in what you want, at the end of the day practice peace and love and the rest doenst really matter.

for some reason that realy struck me. its the cow/pig dilemma simplified. thanks user.

Eh, Kreia's logic was better.

>Do you live by a code?
With Jews you lose

what are some good texts to read to pump up my philosophical gains?

Be a gigantic faggot and die?

>Teach myself many important qualities and fields so that when I carry my lineage on I can teach them to be superior people capable of the same lessons
>Wealth
>Wisdom
>Knowledge
>Never stop exploring
>Respect yourself
>You will meet many on your journey
>Teach those (that are willing and capable) how to be better teachers
>Absorb and assimilate the knowledge of anyone that may know something better than you

>Everyone has something that they hold dear or fear losing
>Everyone has something that they wish to gain above all else
>Everyone has a price they will pay, and one they will avoid
>Everyone has a valuable resource-that may eventually help you

Recognize and negotiate these, and you will meet no strangers

I like this

Literally not cool with any of these.

fuck a few average looking club skanks and then od and die in a sauna at 22?

great philosophy brah

There are people who have worked harder at having a better life than me and that's inexcusable

Its threads like these that remind me that getting Veeky Forums is only half the battle if you want to get pussy.

The other half is trying to avoid being as cringy as most of the edgelords in this thread.

Anons misinterpret Zyzz's teachings. He never preached about roid use, he taught others that trenning hard and eating clean was the key to being aesthetics. The fact that he made some poor choices regarding his personal life doesn't mean that his message was bullshit.

...

Improvement. I want to improve myself, and to improve the rest of the world, so that we can all have fun while we're here. I try not to argue with anyone, or hurt anyone. I just want everyone to have a good time.

Stoicism. Read Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

Again

And again

And again

Evil is Evil. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference. The degree is arbitary. The definition’s blurred. If I’m to choose between one evil and another… I’d rather not choose at all

Everything always works out for user

The warrior who acts out of honour cannot fail. His duty is honour itself. Even his death if it is honourable is a reward and can be no failure, for it has come through duty. Seek honour as you act, therefore, and you will know no fear.

Time I Am, and I am here to destroy all things... even Chad

so chill the fuck out dude, and also here are the 3 modes of existence with illustrations so you don't end up a bitch with ur behaviour

(synopsis)

Brah I'm just memeing you bc you mentioned the bhagavad gita and it reminded me of Oppenheimer's famous quote. No need to get your panties in a bunch

>George Carling
I hope that's a typo, friend. But I find your attitude similar to mine. I have not much of real world experience so I don't tend to believe that I would be able to create a viable life philosophy just yet.

I would want to see what happens when shit really starts happening cause I'm the definition of a spoiled brat.

However, buddhism starts to catch my attention. I generally feel uncomfortable when I hurt somebody and would love to live in peace and harmony with myself and others.

I guess basically it is that. Lifting helps me live at peace with my own body, that is a start I guess.

not mad just an opportunity to talk more about the bhagavad gita

oh i get it

it should have been 'and so krishna said... chill the fuck out arjuna and also here are 3 modes...' etc etc

apologies for the memegrammar and subsequent misunderestimating

it's all a wonderful journey for the spiritually inclined

won't point you in any further direction beyond alan watts, who joked that buddhism was 'hinduism stripped for export (to the west)'

Be thoughtful.
Don't give people shit unless they deserve it.
Keep trying because good things might happen.

Well, he may be right. I wanted to read up on him for a while now.

Actually, I don't give a shit about the religion side of it.

What I have found is that some practical things helped my life to improve. Those are found in buddhism.

I kind of find it hard to believe in reincarnation and karma and stuff like that.

It sounds to me that they had to form some kind of retarded world creation stuff, otherwise no one would have taken them seriously, just like in any other religion.

But that is just my opinion.

...

>lrn to solitude
>and you will learn to know yourself
>until you learn to know yourself
>everyone you know
>and the life you live

>you can't do shit until you know yourself
>you'll just be playing with the gremlins
>tfw

yeah sure that's the stripped bit it doesn't mean buddhism is not good for you, just watch out for passivity buddhism that's for fools

alan watts is youtube listening nectar strongly advise

im the bhagavad gita fag just listen to that for me it really is beautiful

by which i mean it has a science in the language that i find it hard to believe the auties round these parts won't love. i know i do. it's the most perfectly pitched tract on existence and faith i've found and the sweetest part is the dazzling raw intelligence of it

personally prefer listening to it

something about listening is nice with these things

Okay, thanks I'll give it a listen and a read to his work on zen.

As a guy who thinks words ought to have some real meanings I like this one. It's not perfect of course but it's a good start:

Live by the bottle, die by the bottle

Idk, but the first thing that came to mind was an Attila lyric

>You can do anything you want in life--just don't be a fucking bitch.

brb lifting to some attila

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PRINCIPALS

Ironically true because no hell in Judaism lol
