Any one else grow their own veggies in stead of buying overpriced organic?

Any one else grow their own veggies in stead of buying overpriced organic?

i don't like to wait 3 months for my lunch

how much does that plot of land yield op?

4 potatoes and 2 lettuces

No but I get some from my mom's garden when she comes to my unitown to visit.

Kudos to you though op, gardening is awesome.

I grow my own marry-jane, does that count?

That's only the front half but I end of with freezers full and give some away to my family

More then enough for 8 gym bros

I also grow herbs because they're expensive as fuck to buy

Go for the smaller stuff tomatoes or chilli's are easy to grow in pots on a window ledge

Chilli's make everything taste great!

Yeah famalam

I live in the city, but my gfs parents live in the country, she visits them once in two weeks and brings lots of fresh veggies and herbs, strawberries straight from the patch are awesome and also dem fresh organic eggs.

My Nigga!

Get some herbs in a window box, shits easy as fuck!

On average how much time do you spend a day gardening/farming?

Just started planting paprika and some tomatoes but the latter is quickly dying because of the humidity.

I love tomatoes and they are just withering from some fungi right in front of my eyes. Fuck my life.

Yeah, did that too, now growing basil, thyme, rosemary and mint.

I grow carrots, Bell peppers, snap peas, onions, potatoes, spring onions, tomatoes, etc... And all kinds of herbs.
I get veggies 5 months a year and the potatoes last year round. I also have a bee hive that will yield around 7 kg honey per year. That's an excellent gift idea, people love home made stuff.

I normally go after the gym about 7ish for half an hour then on days off I'll stay Max two hours once you're on top it's easy to maintain

I know that pain, last year someone stole all my tomatoes!

Buy some part grown and try again there's still time.

Mine are doing well so far

Is it hard to keep bees? I'd love honey but is it time consuming??

>Schnittlauch

true patrician mode

If it's anything like in Dwarf Fortress then keeping them is not worth it for the time spent

not him, but we "harvest" around 200 kg of honey each year

hard work? no, it's pretty easy
hard to learn how to care about bees and honey? I guess it's harder that your average gardening or even caring about farm animals, but you can learn everything from a book, it's no science
time consuming? no, bees can take care of themselves most of the time

but get ready for lots of stings, but it's pretty cool when they don't hurt at all after a while

>someone stole all my tomatoes!
Who would do such a thing?

I give my veggies creatine when I water them, I thought it was just a meme, but yesterday I caught my broccoli punching the cauliflower and being talked down by the allotment security

bad bad people.

Also not pictured here: chickens and bees

Really depends. It's only now that it's actually viable to plant stuff because it could still freeze until mid may, which would kill some crops.

And to be fair it's mostly my father who takes care of that stuff. And he works full-time, so it's really mostly on the weekends that we spend time gardening.
