Barbell bench benefits from arching because of decreased ROM, dumbbell bench doesn't as much.

It's easier to cheat dumbbell rows, because you can both raise your torso up, and use rotational movement. Can't really use rotational movement on the barbell row.

I can bench more than I can squat. How's that for a paradox?

Bench = back supported by bench, two arms on one bar keeps it stable
DB row = back supported by hand on bench, no need to stabilize weight because it's just hanging
DB bench = have to stabilize weight a whole lot more since it can tilt fairly easily
BB row = weight is in front of you and you're bending over with 0 back support

Stablizing muscles. When you need them you're gonna lift less.
