Let's be honest, lifting is easy

Oh wow going to the gym 45 minutes a couple times a week!

Then the faggots on instagram act like it's this big thing #MOTIVATION

Compared to a real sport, like rowing, or football, boxing, or swimming, they have to do all their sport stuff, AND lifting

Cardio and really high reps are hard as nails compared to lifting, even for a 1 rep max or 3 rep max you do it or you don't, it isn't really PAINFUL like that last push for someone running a marathon or triathlon

The most pathetic are the dorks doing those 3x5 workouts with no isolations, doing just a couple low rep sets, never pushing themselves, it's legit tooo easy

You all know it's true just admit it

Yep lifting is about the most static and boring form of exercise there is. At least with running and biking you can see cool stuff. With lifting you spend so much of your life standing inside an air-conditioned box moving perfectly balanced weights up and down in a straight line.

that's why it's pathetic when nyr fags do it for 2 weeks and give up

whos that semen barista?

>t. guy that's never lifted a heavy object in his life

45 minutes, I remember those days. Free of fatigue and self hate.

Absolutely, lifting is the easiest aspect of self-improvement. We should be thankful that there's so much bullshit floating around in fitness industry that keeps people from achieveing anything or our physiques would be really nothing special, because lifting gets you so much bang for your buck in terms of social status that everyone would do it if they knew how easy it really is.
Ok, there are so things that are hard, unpleasant and require some additional work, like heavy squats, but you really don't need to do those things if all you care about is looks.

Lifting is easy as shit, but on the flip side that still means we're superior to those who can't even do that.

>easy
>gets better results than anything else
>rustles the jimmies of fagets like you
>mfw

>cardio
>hard

ISHYGDDT

it aint easy getting dubs though

Yeah lifting is real easy, I do 30 minutes 5 times a week. Eating clean is easy too, your appetite starts to work with you after a couple weeks.

I don't get why more people don't do it.

Lifting is incredibly easy. Eating right is the hard part. I don't have a problem with skipping sugary shit or eating healthy, it's just the fact that I don't like food in general so I have to constantly shove food down my throat, it's awful I hate it.

Former skelly here, 5'7 105 to 150 now. To any other skellies that might be reading this, your dislike or indifference of food doesn't go away, but it does get slightly easier.

this

if you think that way now you should quit lifting before the depression and dysmorphia sets in

shit bait but i agree with you. lifting itself is easy in comparison to the effort required in other sports. the hard part about getting it right and excelling however is the extra work you need to do outside of the gym.

sure, you play football (not murrican football) and you need to be able to run your ass off and practice a lot but outside of the field you just have to be unretarded about things. strength training demands hydration, particular nutrition, good sleep and an end to things like going out for drinks regularly or stopping training for any length of time with the exception of planned deloads. that and the various other areas which demand attention, including mobility, conditioning, injury rehab, research etc and you've got a package deal that is not easy to stick to.

Yes getting in great shape is easy. Hit the gym 4 times a week at 1 hour per visit and with the right behavior you can be in great shape.

the PROBLEM is when life gets in the way, work, and other responseabilities are what make getting in shape so hard.

I remember one summer where I wasn't in school and was not working either. I got to like 170lbs and 8%BF.

When work hits me hard for a few weeks I rapidly get out of shape.

> the eating right part is harder than the working out part

completely agree. Plenty of planning and cooking to get the right things into your stomach at the right times.

Faggot

agreed. cardio is much harder.

this.

the difficult thing about lifting isn't doing it, but doing it for long enough that you make respectable gains. any idiot can go to the gym with his buddies and work up to a 90kg bench or something, but the second something happens in his life which makes going to the gym regularly and eating properly (and sticking to both of these practices with the required consistency) difficult if not impossible given a lack of willpower, then hello serious plateau, goodbye gains. it's the reason many guys here can do things that probably only about 1 in a million adult men can do (500lb deadlift etc), because reaching those kinds of physical feats demands consistency over a long time, which is objectively very difficult without making some kind of sacrifices which most people would never make. such as lattes and birthday cake in the office.

Haven't missed a day at the gym and have been going for 7months. It's just part of my routine now and I don't break routines. I had a single day off work at my new job and I've been there for over a year.
>Get up at 6am
>Shitpost on fit
>Cook breakfast
>Feed animals
>Say goodbye to gf
>Work 9hr shift
>Pick gf up from work
>Get home
>We get ready for gym
>Go for 1hr
>Get home and eat
>Spend time with gf
>Sleep
Repeat x 365 days a year

Never feel like I need extra motivation. Then I see posts online of people saying 'been to the gym 3 times this week!!! It's hard to find the time! So happy!' and think wtf
People who lie calling in sick to work so they can get a day to do nothing at home fuck me off the most.

>gets better results than anything else

Your opinion holds no sway here, meme man

>lifting is easy
>won't post his impressive skelly body
yea, fuck off silly cunt

dara o'briain's daughter

If it's easy then you're not doing enough weight.

I agree with most of it but:

>The most pathetic are the dorks doing those 3x5 workouts with no isolations, doing just a couple low rep sets, never pushing themselves, it's legit tooo easy
you tried to hard

You need to use a term that either rhymes, or starts with the same letter. So like, either "semen demon" or "blowjob barista".

Besides, "semen barista" makes it sound like she is serving you semen, instead of the other way around.

But, yes, it would be very nice to ejaculate unprotected into her vagina.

I bet weightlifters are significantly more likely than the general population to play a sport or do some other athletic activity though.

I'm a cyclist also. I try to get 50 miles in a week.

I don't simply lift.

>any amount of birthday cake will stop you from pulling 500

Easy
Very short time every week
Maximum results
Most population cannot even commit to this. Which says a lot about them.

Kek

it's about the long-term discipline

Ok, but if you're benching 90kg and aren't like >6'2 then you already look about 90% as good as you ever will without roids, so your narrative that being swole comes only after years of hard training and big numbers on lifts is deluded.

The painful truth is that if normies don't mire you after you made your noob gains, you probably won't "make it" without gear no matter how many years you keep lifting for and how much weight you move.

what are hobbies

I understand why eating a lot is hard. But if you don't like food in general, you need to buy better food and learn how to cook. There's some really good shut out there to eat.

>

kek keep deluding yourself you pinning retard

LIfting is a hobby faggot

Is it weird I want to bite her ass?

>be me
>6'1 and gained 50 lbs from skelly mode
>old roomate gets new gf
>we go to lunch
>his gf is mirin. oh god is she mirin
>old roomate gets pissed
>about me, tells his gf, "yeah, all user does is workout these days"
>i said, "dude, i work out four hours per week. you spend more than double that playing video games"
>roomate turns bright red

Seriously, your life doesn't have to revolve around the gym to get good gains. Being a manlet would be even easier. Fucking normies mannn

ITT dudes at the gym who never sweat

> not using the rhythmic movements of weightlifting as an aid to meditation

Bitch it's not supposed to be difficult, it's supposed to be #spiritual.

Lifting is easy relative to all the other shit you have to do if you want to look good.
You have to eat cleanly, try to hold back from eating everything on the table, drink not much alcohol.
Consistently stretching is also important.
What makes getting fit hard is you need perserverance and consistency.

>e
getting up at 6am and you have time to feed your animals and cook breakfast etc? when do you start work? 9?
if I want to do same thing at the morning i have to get up at 4...life sucks in eastern Eu..

>45 minutes
>couple times a week
hi newfriend, if you need some help on losing weight you want to check the sticky first, otherwise people won take you shitpos... err... posts seriously
>back to

Post pics and lifts.

I want to fuck her in the ass so bad

Lifting isn't the hard part you unbelievable faggot.

Changing your life style is. For many people going from a sedentary lifestyle, eating in excess to working out regularly and regulating your diet is a massive lifestyle change. It requires both altering your mind and body and overcoming every obstacle you throw at yourself. If you're depressed or have other disorders it makes things all the more difficult.

Yes it's easy to lift things up and put them down but that is not what the fuck people mean when they say exercise is hard. They are talking about the transformation and lifestyle change as a whole.

>The most pathetic are the dorks doing those 3x5 workouts with no isolations

Those are called beginners
You don't start your running career in a marathon

Also, you're comparing recreational lifters with actual sportsmen, try lifting like a strongman, weightlifter or powerlifter and tell me it's easy

Lmao look at all the butthurt in this thread

if its so easy show us your perfect body

That has nothing to do with it.
I can cook very well and have the money to go out to nice restaurants fairly often.
I've gone from 58 to 73kg so far.
I appreciate tasty food but the feeling isn't strong enough to make me want to eat more or more often. I had to force myself into it and make it a habit.

More like boner barista tho

FLUID DRUID

>the most pathetic is the kids doing 3x5 never pushing themselves

This makes no sense since a 3x5 routine always says to add weight once you hit 3x5. I mean I wish trolls actually tried nowadays

I agree with OP, lifting becomes routine after a while. I'd say powerlifting is what's actually hard in terms of lifting.

The years I spent rock climbing were much more gruelling physically and mentally compared to lifting weights

That facial expression though

I agree to an extent, lifting doesn't take a huge amount of grit. Those #motivation faggots are embarrassing themselves.

Still though.. at the moment I am doing 5/3/1 boring but big and the heavy deadlift followed by 5 sets of 10 squats at 70% is pretty grueling.

But yea I imagine training for boxing or wrestling or BJJ or whatever would be 20x more a test of will power. Which is why I will do one of the above once I have reached my lifting goals.

Wow, thought this thread would be a warzone. Impressed to see everyone agrees.

can't stop laughing.

Was it not common knowledge that lifting is not as difficult as any other sport?

Lifting is used to supplement other sports. The only impressive weightlifting is olympic, strongman and some powerlifting.

Normies don't do it because it takes dedication and they just want to be normies.

>Cardio is hard
>The real world
Pick exactly one.

5'7" 125lbs bro. Just started lifting two weeks ago. Eating is the hard part for me too, but this inspires me to eat more. Gotta start cooking, man.

>implying user wasn't actually talking about her serving him his own cum in a cup

L O N D O N

>lifting is easy

sure is if you aren't putting enough weight on the bar faggot

That is true, lifting is easy. Any retard can do it requires about zero athleticism and as mentioned eating right is the hardest part. Rewards are also pretty good comparing to workload. What I personally like most is the fact, that you can do it almost at any time of the day. I used to wrestle, and I miss it for time to time, but it's much easier to just lifts weights, like I don't have to be today at 15.00 at the mat, fucking running and shit.

I agree with you.
I joined my friend who trains boxers at the gym and he put me through what he puts them through - crossfit without the bullshit type stuff, mid intensity, high rep, no breaks.
it was insane. thought I was going to die.
made my usual 5X5 seem like a vacation.

It took damn near the entire thread for someone to make a good argument. jesus fuck we need to redefine "normie".

Some of you might have the social status of a bottom feeder, but you all sure as hell think like normies.

>6am have coffee
>6.10-6.25 shit + shitpost on fit
>6.25-6.35 shower
>6.35-6.40 make poached eggs and bacon or oats and whey
>6.45-6.55 wakeup gf and eat breakfast with her
>7-7.10 get dressed and feed animals
>7.10-7.20 make sure I've got everything, have another coffee and leave for work
>7.50 arrive at work

How is that hard at all

>lifting for under an hour
>lifting less than 4 times a week
>not pushing your limits every workout
>not doing cardio as well

Yeah, I can see why it's so easy for you, my dyel friend.

that's why everyone has a few friends who yo-yo in and out of shape

doing it is easy. sticking to it is hard, when life shit starts going down

Lifting is easy, sticking to a perfect diet for MONTHS to obtain the most gains is the hard part you fags.

why would you post that picture? those forced smiles just looks so weird.

can someone pls post webms of the kianna dior oktoberfest vid

who is that!!!!!

she's an asian pornstar

no her you doofus, the girl in op!!!!!!

Poor guy was trying so hard to not look like a loser.

so true

If 3x5 is ez the weight is too light. You do 75-80% of your max.

>lifting for under an hour

wtf am i supposed to do after my 3 main lifts? fuck around on the thigh master? i've worked that muscle group to biting fatigue. i go lift to lift to lift, i don't piss around on my phone or talk to anyone

It's not easy, it's simple.

Learn the difference

Wew you do very little in your life

Who is this boner barrista?

Why are you guys saying eating right is difficult?

Just hit your daily protein and fill the rest with good quality carbs and fats

This jesus christ
The only lift I still do for 3x5 is squats and it absolutely kills me, I take 5-6 minutes between sets. Most exhausting part of my routine.

Agreed, eating right is literally easier than lifting which as we have established is pretty easy.

6'4 172 here, started at 6'4 135 so I can't really complain, but yeah, eating 5000-6000 calories a day of good food is hard as shit.

>t. fat fuck

>45 minutes a couple times a week
Do you even lift?

It's more like 1.5 hours 4 times per week if you are not an absolute dyel.

>be decent rugby player
>had some very tough training including a fitness sessions from pro/national level coaches
>give strongman a go after a year of lifting
>pain, pain everywhere
>wait, you want me to push a van now?
Yes opie, lifting is easy.

If I have a certain weight makes my squat/deadlift form get shitty at around, 6 reps for example, would I be better doing that weight for 6x3 rather than 3x6? Would that elicit the same response in my body?

Kek thought this was /plg/ sorry, wrong tab

OP, you couldn't have said it better. I do understand that pro-bodybuilders do work hard like all the other pro-athletes. We rarely see football players posting "no goals no hoes" or swimmers post "no backstroke no cardio" pics but why the hell do we see beginners or mediocre lifters posting "No pain no gain" posters all over social media?
My theory is that because bodybuilding has the biggest impact on one's self-image and self-esteem it really brings out the insecurity out of people and they need to improve it by justifying their hard work to other people.

I hate 10 minute showers. I need atleast 20 to wash my thick hair throughly

OY VEY

Finally someone who knows whats up and aint a dyelvirginfag

I only work out for aesthetics so np

True. I spend 2.5h working out every day. 1 of those is running every other day

>find running easy and enjoyable, run 20mpw
>try adding lifting
WHY AM I SO BAD AT THIS.JPG
>find oly coach
>FASTER GET UNDER THE BAR PUSH UP ON THE BAR YOURE TIRED ALREADY?
Fuck. I practice this shit everyday my knees are dead and I'm still a weak little girl. How do you faggots do this?

Quality post. Also add bodybuilding. That takes some serious dedication, no matter how "gay" or sick it is

Who´s this fuck and then bail mademoiselle
