Home gym

>ITT: Show off your home gyms.

Just set this up, how'd I do?
>weights and bars; $200
>bench; $120
>cage; $660

I'd love to have a simple set up like this

I like it. Get some adjustable DBs and you're set.

Cage was a great investment, not a personal fan of the bench but to each his own

U buy that cage and plates off craigslist or new?

Its pretty good, first session and it was amazing.
>adjustable DBs
Waaaay ahead of you senpai. Bottom left of pic
Hell yea it was. Honestly the whole set up paid for itself with not having to deal with gym bullshit. The bench is actually quite good, very sturdy and has incline and decline.
Cage new, everything else second hand. Gumtree and eBay.

Bump for more home gyms.

I don't think the best time to start a thread you want to be lively is sometime in the range of 12-3 in the morning for Americans
Also, I would post mine, but it is in a detached garage with no working light atm, so I can't take a picture

My gym

-half rack
-oly 7ft barbell
-oly dumbbell
-oly trapbar
-oly tricep bar
-300kg max rated decline/incline/flat bench
-power tower (chins,pull-ups,dips)
-assorted plates 20kg,10kg,5kg,2.5kg,1.25kg,0.5kg
-ab roller (lol)

Looks good user. I like it. I need to grab an Ez-curl bar and I'll be set
>step up to power tower
I kek'd

Hey guys. How do I get a Tyre for my home gym? Should I just grab one from a farm?

home gym = autistic

going to the gym is actually a thing by itself, get out of ur retarded house, see other people

Either that or buy one from a wreckers that's lacking tread.
Why on earth would I wanna be around other people when I'm working out?
Gym=\=socialising

lol wait until you've been lifting for more than a year and you'll realize how time saving a home gym is.

The whole "experience" of the gym ends after the first 6-12 months, after that you'll begin questioning the effiency of your time spent traveling to the gym a back.

>b-but I live next door to my gym

Fuck off then. I use to spend 30min traveling every time I went to the gym. That 30min adds up fast. Not to mention no waiting time for equipment.

The fact I can just train at any time makes lifting extremely adaptable to my lifestyle, where as fags like you need to be autistic and set out specific times.

You'll learn soon enough about what I'm saying here, it's only a matter of time.

When lifting stops being your number one priority in life you'll realise the power of a home gym.

where's the moveable saftey bars?
isn't that the point of squatting in a cage?

could have just bought a rack for 1/3 the price

My home gym is a pair of 70kg spinlock dumbells, a tredmill, a bench, a doorframe pullup bar and a barbell that I only use for diddlys

Down the bottom user.

Here's my setup.

/diy/ mirin that dip station

Fix your safety bars. No point otherwise. J hooks also need to have you squatting in the cage. Wtf man think.

>pvc piping dip station

this is a great idea also I'm rock hard right now

lol @ home gym fags
>no lat pulldown machine
>no cable station
>no calf machine

Enjoy your mediocre results

Here's what I have.

what the fuck is that monster to the left and what did it cost you

nice one

>PVC dip stations
Fucking amazing!
There's J-hooks on the inside, I move em up for squats, same with safeties.

My parents got it for me when I was younger because they thought it would be safer than free weights lol. It was like $950 I think? It wasn't a great tool then, but it was actually an amazing thing to have for my recovery after my harsh accident. I'm the fag who posts my huge stomach scar on here from time to time.

I'm officially a jar of jelly

I just wanna buy a house, get a home gym and blast my shitty music while I OHP naked

My set up, but since this was taken now got 2 barbells, oly rings, extra 100KG worth of bumper plates & a pylo box for box squats/barbell step ups.

cheapest of em all

CHI

Are you a middle aged womyn?

and pull up bar

How much does this coast?

Cont:

Advantages of HG:
> Listen to autistic music as loud as you like
> Never have to wait for people to finish on stuff/take as much time as you like between sets
> Can grunt and swear as loud as you like
> Nobody can complain about you doing powercleans/diddlys
> Can train any time you like, any day you like

Dis:
> No pussy around
> Cold in the winter, hot in summer
> Anybody walking past can see inside unless you have electrics
> Big upfront investment

Advantages deffo outweigh disadvantages tho, well worth it.

Surely the rope would cause a slight bounce at the bottom, making each rep easier?

Poverty/10

Just kidding, nice simple set up.

>Mat
>Ropes
>Pull up bar
Lel, get a load of this richfag

>Lat pull down - wide grip pull ups
>Cable station - list an exercise and it can be accomplished using barbell or dumbbells
>Calf machine - standing weighted calf raises
Lol fuck off m8

Wow, that's great! Did you make it yourself?

>tfw dad has a power rack, oly barbell, 500 pounds of weights, and a bench that could support a VW bug
>tfw he says you can have it
>tfw picking it up today
>tfw 23 and never needing to pay for a gym again

the ropes were there i dont know why, I dont use them (what would I do with them anyway). I have 30kg of dumbbell plates, and been lifting for 3 months.

Thanks senpai
Yup. Built the cage myself with dadbro (lifting buddy)

You shouldn't leave those meatballs on the floor, they'll spoil in the heat.

go to a junkyard or large equipment repair place

...

...

thats a perfect setup, when you still look dyel after two years you already have rope hanging from the ceiling to hang yourself

Anyone homegym in an apartment building? I do my dbs rollouts and empty barbell drills, but taking the step of adding weight on the bar and doing my big lifts at home seems like a huge deal, like it could get the police at my door or neighbors to shit on my doormat. How effective are lifting platforms at absorbing noise and vibrations?

>no chalk

fuark where'd you get that cage

...

I have a $1000 budget, I need a home gym. I need to be able to do the big three plus OHP and pull ups. Having a dip station would be nice too but not entirely necessary.

mine

is that the buff dudes rack?
mirin it ATM senpai

1/4
Not too happy in hindsight because no plate holders on this rack and not enough clearance to use the pull up bar, but I have a door frame bar anyway

2/4
Based Kurt for dat der self-loathing gains

3/4
Reminder not to skip cardio even though I hate it with every fiber of my being

>that rocking chair
Are you Mel Gibson from The Patriot?

4/4
Home made dry erase board
5'x3'
total cost $10

Just wait until your local box closes due to insurance claims, Seine-pie

Very nice. Lots of potential!

Jesus Tapdancing Christ I'm so envious of you all right now. The only way I'd be able to have a home gym right now is if it was outside, and I can't do that because it drops to -15* F in the winters with feet of snow.

agreed, this is an user who thinks ahead

sissy

>using gloves
fucking pussy

that rack (assumeing it is wood like it looks like it is) is gonna fucking get brittle and snap someday from the repeated heating and cooling

10/10 hermano

>fell for the PhD meme
>no home gym until I'm at least mid 30s

Prowler not in pic. Hope to collect some natty or atlas stones soon.

Slip city incoming

It's now a rule that you must have a fleg behind your rack

What are you? Some kind of commie?

the ol' wooden cage

good stuff lads, need to expand mine

top kek m8

I like what you have made.
It gives me inspiration to make my own, rather than just settle with not having money to buy expensive specialized equipment. Not only in the rack, but in general in the workout equipment. I r8 8/8 m8

>dat poster
>showing your powerlevel on facebook

I'm not sure what this is supposed to meme

Is Kurt considered cringe by you young fans now? So counterculture that you throw the baby out with the bathwater?

That's not what I meant you autist.

Who /poverty/ here?
>power tower
99$
>gymnastic rings
30$
>backpack
Got my brother's backpack from middle school so free i guess
>sand in backpack
Also free
Also have a 40lb barbell that was given as a gift.

my parents gifted me these for my 19th birthday last week -- pullup door bar , adjustable dumbbells and barbell, 38kg of weights. I am a complete newb at weightlifting but I'm learning the basics and following beginner routines.
I work out in my bedroom -- planning to get a job so I'll buy myself a decent home gym. pic related are really good for beginners like me tho!

Rings on a ladder. Pls always record your sessions.

Here's where I do my lifting.
I have a pair of gymnastic rings hanging from the stairs inside the house so I can do pullups without hitting my head on the ceiling.
Same problem with OHP, though now that the weather is nice, I might just take the bar and some plates outside to do it there.

Seconded.

you dont even have 4pl8 worth of 45s, are you even trying?

That tough mudder bib.

I fucking loved the last one I went to. Need to go to more.

$1100

my dick is diamond/10

They're fun. Funny thing is the only person I can get to go is my fattest friend. Fucking dadbods for miles at age 32

>using a pallet as a pl8 rack
fuck how manly are you, never seen anything that alpha

How much was that plate cart? Mine are just laying around the floor

Is that break-apart barbell
Am i seeing correctly

Reccomend going to one completely alone and talking to people as you go. Work with a team for each obstacle. You'll make friends that are great

About $20 in 2x4s and 2x6s from home depot

So much this. I dream of the day I can do my squats buck ass naked and bellowing out full force Tarzan yells. No homo.

That poster is perfect.

Closing on a home w/i the next 30 days. Can't wait to start setting up a home gym.

It's actually just something that popped into my head when most of the stuff arrived - I had entirely forgotten to buy plate trees.
Another nice thing with it is that it doesn't build too far out from the wall. You can't really see how little room I have to work with, but just to the left of the bench in the top left picture is where I split and store the firewood.

>carpet
Fuck man you should've put some plywood or matting underneath eveyrthing first

I do. One time i ate shit. If you guys want i could share the instagram video here.
