Tfw 225 standing The Press with strict form

>tfw 225 standing The Press with strict form
>tfw there's probably less than a million people in the world that can do this

Feels nice man.

you forgot
>tfw 260lbs
>21% bodyfat

How are your shoulders not fucked. Mine started hurting at like 70lbs 5x8 and I had to stop

>Mine started hurting at like 70lbs 5x8 and I had to stop

260lbs
21%bf

Man that is discount offseason-bodybuilder mode

LOL are you a fucking girl? Fix your form.

I was wondering today, Veeky Forums mentions 1/2/3/4 as an achievement (which it is), but how many on Veeky Forums are 2/3/4/5?

M8 you're doing it wrong

Probably in several ways but I would guess it's that you weren't elevating your scapula (shrugging your shoulders up at the top)

This helps keep you from impinging your shoulder (pinching important soft bits with bony structures)

Read ss

If you weigh over 225lbs that isn't impressive

Your form is probably terrible. That or you're going way too heavy.

I'm 4 and 5. Idk if I'll ever get 2 and 3 though. Every time I get close to 300 on bench, my sternum does some gay shit and hurts.

2/3/4/5 is hard as fuck. The 5plate dead is achievable but as you go through the others they get more and more challenging. In all honesty i dont think ill ever get a 2plate ohp unless i go hamplanet mode or juice.

How long to get to 2/3/4/5 natty, eating right? Currently at 200lbs 6'2" weak as fuck.

>Mine started hurting at like 70lbs 5x8 and I had to stop

>tfw 1.5/3/5/5.5
asymmetrical af, ohp is crazy difficult for me for some reason

if not estats, you a strong dude bro good job

im rounding up a bit but still p damn close
80/135/215/240 kg

I can only imagine at least 5 to 10 years if natty.

Pls no bully

Link? Or do I have to buy it

>less than a million

no way is there a million or more people who can strict press 225 or more, try 50,000. i'd be surprised if there's more than 5 million people at 1/2/3/4 or higher, the bulk of the population is weak as fuck.

>tfw I'm asymmetrical in reverse
>tfw 1.5/2/2/4
fuck my shitty legs and my absolutely insane shoulders, my ohp form is absolutely strict too

>Mine started hurting at like 70lbs 5x8 and I had to stop

Take responsibility for yourself.

/new/ (lurker) to fit here, why is everyone making fun of this user?

Because 70lbs / 30-ish kgs isn't very heavy. He must be doing something wrong.

It's literally one dude making all those posts m8

>Feels nice man.

Only until you realize building up your decaying body is an exercise in futility and you plunge into a deep existential crisis.

>mfw that is literally my weight and bf%
>mfw I can only strict The Press 175 lbs

Why would you lock out anything on any lift besides squat/deadlift? Doesn't this hurt your joints? ESPECIALLY locking out elbows on something like OHP?

By locking your elbows you put yourself into a super strong and stable position.

retard alert

I hit The Press 2pl8 for a double like 4 months ago but I've fucked my shoulder benching and now I'm Thepressing 1.5pl8 5x5 because going heavier means some little pain and discomfort.

5pl8 deadlift for 4x2 checked.

Never ever squatted near 4pl8, 3pl8 2x5 is my tried max. I think I would collapse under 4pl8 at the bottom.

On bench I got to 2.5pl8 1x5 but then fugged my sheeit up as I said so now I'm into 2pl8 hi volume work till I'm healed.

jesus christ, i had no idea you were supposed to shrug at the top

This

Barely anyone The Presses. I'd put the number of people who could The Strict Press 2pl8 at around 10,000.

>that guy who reads art of manliness

i'd be much more worried about locking out on squats and deadlifts if i were you, you should never truly lock out your legs for either of those for the same reason you shouldn't for leg press

...

tfw 1/2/3.5/3.5 !!!!!!!

I have a question about form, why do they say to keep forearms vertical? They aren't in OP's picture, his elbows are in front of his wrists.

they mean so that the forearms are perpendicular to the bar

2 years natty bare minimum, and that's starting from moderate strength anyway. Realistically 3-5 years from shit nothing at your height and weight.

4/5 is relatively easy. I got there in 2 years at 6'4" 250 lbs. 2/3 is going to hard for me because of my long arms. Currently at 1.5/2. You're a bit shorter so you may not have the same problem.

reached 1/2/3/4 after about a year, I guess 2/3/4/5 will take another two.

4/5 probably not though, but a 2 plate press and 3 plate bench will take significantly longer.

>5x8 on le press

>finally reached 1pl8 press
>go on vacation for a week and don't lift
>come back and can barely lift 125 for one fucking rep

What's the fucking point? Are all my lifts going to drop every time I'm forced to take a break?

So pissed off right now

1 week isnt enough to lose that much strength. you just a bitch

Wouldn't count on it, the truth is you may never hit a 2 plate press. Somewhere between 85-95kg slows to a glacial pace, and if you lose a few KG in bodyweight for whatever reason, your press #s plummet.

Nice legacy meme.

What accesories will increase my The Press

How do I The Press without hyperextending my back too much and feeling like it's going to snap? I'm barely lifting any fucking weight, I can do like double on the seated shoulder press machine thingy.

Almost.
>tfw /1.5/2.5/4/5/
>tfw bench and OHP stalling while squats and DL keep steadily progressing

by that logic there is no point to do anything cause we are all gonna die someday.
>Get fucked bukowski

I'll prob hit 4pl8 bench before I get 2pl8 ohp. I think it should be 1.5pl8 to be proportional, but that's me

Trolls aside, not locking out reduces the trained range of motion of a muscle and creates weak points around what should be the strongest position. Don't do this Veeky Forums.

I got 1/2/3/4 after 6 months of lifting. Now 2 years in i have 2/3/4/5

>cut
>ohp drops from 205lbs to 150lbs

>tfw it was a goal of mine to hit 2 plaete press natty
>weighed in at 215 and could only get 190lbs
>everything started stagnating, bodyfat through the roof
>realized some goals can never be achieved

;-; if only I left humanity behind, but even the looks you get putting up 190lbs above your head strict press was good enough
