This. Britain is only about 5% non white by our last census, but is about 35% non-white in bigger cities like London, so comparable to plenty of place in the U.S.; and we don't seem nearly as segregated or racist. Especially at a middle class and upper middle class level.

In my experience America is hardly racist at all and I wouldn't begin to think otherwise unless I bother to skim the paper about whatever it is the police are up to now.

Lived on both sides of the Atlantic. The average Brit & European is far far better looking than the average American. What differs is media portrayal. U.S. media gives a bizzarely distorted view of American where everyone is beautiful even the ugly people. Media in Europe portrays people close to reality. But yeah I was shocked at how fat, ugly, and badly dressed Americans are. It's the exact opposite of their media portrayal. They're the ugliest people in the world from my experience.

When you say British people do you mean British or "British"? Of course the media isn't an accurate representation of an entire population that's a given. And being fat or out of shape is something that can change its not locked in its just the result of gluttony and shit culture. But go to a non white country and see how they compare.
