For fish find a fish monger and buy whole fish, get them to chop it into fish steaks, and freeze it. Learn to pick out the bones.
For hipsterish fitness items like almonds, coconut oil, spices, chilli peppers, siracha, etc find a local Indian or East Asian grocers.
Go to farmer's markets.

Sardines are cheaper

Not in Poland, here there are like twice the price of mackerel and usually selled in cans with some other shit.
