Ask a man who just hit 1 plate on the bench press for 3RM after 6 months of training anything
I don't have proof so that you'd believe me so I understand if you are skeptical. Ask away!

i benched a plate when i was in 9th grade. congrats.

Thats impressive bro, congrats!

I dont believe it

I benched 205 in ninth grade no joke desu

i benched 315 in 8th grade

I benched 405 in 6th grade

I benched 495 when I was 3 at an RPE 6 full RAW

I benched 460 in 5th grade.
KG

Still doing better than a buddy of mine who took a year to hit 1pl8 for a 5RM

He did a brosplit the entire time

I just hit it for the 5x5 2 days ago while on a cut...

I benched it at RPE 2

I benched my mother when I was born

It's never been a race for me, I have no plans on letting up for at least a decade or so.

natty?

I'm not estating, trust me
Probably not by most people's definition. I took a creatine/whey stack 7 times a week.

Congratz OP 4 real, been trying to hit 1plaet bench for 3 years already, just keep getting injured once i reach the 115lbs mark

is that good op? im wondering cause im at 35s and so close, and am at 4 months, feels like a plateau

I weigh 120lbs, I try so hard to reach 1plate but I always fail once i hit the 35's, why can't bench 1plate?

All these faggots taking such obvious bait.... Fuark

That's too bad user
Just keep putting on weight whenever you can fit it. I kept feeling like I was plateauing too but eventually I pushed through which gave me a lot of confidence that it was gonna work out for me. Eat, sleep well and make sure your form is good. You could probably do 1pl8 already as a 1rm

>900kg bench str8 out of womb
impressive m8

I benched 2pl8 in my 1st month...

>tfw 6' 177lb, can't bench more than 125 for 5
>keep trying to do 130
>keep having to rerack low or roll of shame
>OHP been stuck at 80x5 for a month

My incline bench is increasing though and my lower body progresses linearly. I don't fucking get it.

Fatty

I can't progress linearly with my lower body at all, but that might be because I'm trying to squat ATG

thats not why :(

consider cardio

Nah I go ATG and have little trouble.
Are you warming up properly? I do weightless squats before I even do empty bar usually.
Also adductor and abductor exercises helped me through a wall at one point.

bad form, not eating or sleeping enough.

that's it at ur strength levels.

7th grade for me, but only hit 1pl8 squat last summer and im 30. im fucking pathetic

I just realized I spent 6 months trying to go ATG with the bar in the wrong position. I was going as low as I could in low bar then wondering why I felt like tipping forward everytime. rofl

I'm on a cut but yeah I get shit sleep pretty often.
I squat 1.5pl8 and diddly 2 though, I don't get why the others are lagging so much, I do dips for 5 with 30 lbs added so it's not like I neglect upper.

Maybe I should video so Veeky Forums can make fun of me.

I go ATG with low bar squats, is there some reason I shouldn't?
I just lean forward more and keep my neck in line with spine.

>tfw just hit 80kg OHP
>Can't bench more than 110kg

You shouldn't feel like you're leaning forward in a proper ATG squat, that means your feet are probably not in the right position, and you aren't opening up at the hips enough as you go down.

I follow Rippetoe's video guides and it feels alright.
Feet shoulder width, 30 degree angle, flat at all times.
Had some trouble with my legs wobbling in for a while, but ab/adductor works cleared that up quick.
